Day 1: Sydney - Canberra

From Sydney, journey via the Southern Highlands for a stop at historic Berrima, famous for its gaol, a visit to a working sheep farm, and an Aussie barbecue lunch. Then it's on to Canberra to visit the Australian War Memorial and the Parliament House before enjoying a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Canberra - Snowy Mountains

Head into spectacular Kosciuszko National Park - home to mobs of kangaroos - for an optional ride on the chairlift at Mt Kosciuszko, Australia's highest peak. Enjoy the beauty of the park before crossing the mighty Murray River into Victoria and beautiful Beechworth, Victoria’s best preserved gold rush town, for a unique overnight stay.

Day 3: Beechworth - Melbourne

Get to know Beechworth with a tour and some free time to explore the legendary Beechworth Bakery, as well as antique shops and galleries. Visit the museum before a drive through Glenrowan and Ned Kelly country to cosmopolitan Melbourne for a two-night stay.

Day 4: Melbourne

Free day to explore the cafés, galleries, museums, markets of Melbourne or perhaps consider optional tours to see the penguins on Phillip Island or the Yarra Valley wineries.

Day 5: The Great Ocean Road

Don't forgot your cameras today for one of the world's greatest road trips - the Great Ocean Road. Enjoy visits to Torquay and the Twelve Apostles before finishing the day in the whale-watching capital of Warrnambool.

Day 6: Warrnambool - Adelaide

Enjoy the vistas from the dormant volcano of Tower Hill before continuing through the picturesque fishing village of Port Fairy. Skirt the Lower Glenelg National Park into South Australia and on to Mt. Gambier for a city tour and a look at the spectacular and mysterious Blue Lake before heading on to Coonawarra, renowned for its wine production.

Day 7: Barossa Valley

This highlight day starts with a sightseeing tour of Adelaide city. Then journey north to visit one of Australia’s best-known wine-producing regions, the Barossa Valley. Stop at the small town of Tanunda on your way to Jacobs Creek winery where you’ll learn about what goes into making great wines on a walking tour with wine tasting. Your host will provide an overview of the 14 different grape varieties grown in the vineyard that are featured in some of the most famous wines. After a lunch of local produce with wine, explore a little more of this gastronomic region and its delights, before returning to Adelaide.

Day 8: Adelaide - Kangaroo Island

After a stop at the Victorian seaside suburb of Glenelg, continue on to the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula and perhaps take a walk to Granite Island for some sensational coastal views. Later, travel by ferry to Kangaroo Island for a two-night stay and dinner overlooking the spectacular Backstair Passage.

Day 9: Kangaroo Island

A full day of discovery will take you wildlife spotting in Flinders Chase National Park and a chance for some great photo opportunities at the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch. Enjoy lunch at the Andermel Marron Farm, a food and wine experience that captures the very essence of Kangaroo Island, before a guided tour at the Seal Bay Conservation Park and walk among a colony of sea lions.

Day 10: Kangaroo Island - Adelaide

Cruise back by ferry to Cape Jervis before transferring back to Adelaide Airport, where your tour concludes in the early afternoon.
