Daikanbo

Kusasenri

Kusasenri Plateau is one of the iconic scenes of Kumamoto, and also one of the perfect location if you want to see the smoke rising from Mount Aso. As the season changes, the grass turns from a deep green of the summer to a romantic silver in the winter, with each season having its own distinct color.

Aso Shrine

Although its origins are uncertain, Aso Shrine (阿蘇神社, Aso Jinja) is believed to date back almost two thousand years to the end of the Yayoi Period (300 BC to 300 AD). It was considered the most important shrine in Higo Province, present day Kumamoto Prefecture.

Located at Kusasenri, Mount Aso's vast green plateau, the Aso Volcano Museum is a 3 storey concrete building with views of the smoking crater of Nakadake. It is a museum that explains volcanoes.

Cuddly Dominion is a unique animal world, where people can experience cute animals by touching and holding them. It is located amongst the great nature of Aso and has 100 kinds of cute and rare animals, over 800 animals in total.

Mt. Aso Ropeway

its only active volcanic peak, Nakadake,From the last stop of the bus line, you can ride the Mount Aso Ropeway, a four-minute, 108 meter climb. It is world's first ropeway running close to the active volcanic crater and you can enjoy the close-up view of an active volcano from the car
