It is also known as the "land of a thousand Hills" because of its mountainous terrain. With an average annual temperature of 19℃, Rwanda is also known as the "Summer resort in Africa".

There are three National parks of Rwanda -- Volcanoes National Park, Akagera National Park, and Nyungwe Forest National Park -- you can explore the wonders and wonders of African nature.

Of course, these national parks, with their unique and rich natural resources, are home to many wildlife.

[Akagera National Park]

Akagera National Park is the country's largest wildlife reserve, covering 1,085 square kilometers. Named for the river Akagera that runs through it, the park offers beautiful scenery, pleasant climate and exotic wildlife. There are 22 lakes and mountains in the park, and one third of the park is lake Ihema. With beautiful grass and rich water on both sides of the river, it is an ideal habitat for wildlife. In addition, the park is home to a large number of wild animals, including elephants, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, leopards and hyenas. Cheetahs, hippos and giraffes roam the park as easily as they do in the Serengeti of neighboring Tanzania.

[Nyungwe National Park]
If Volcanoes National Park is wild and magnificent, then The Nuenway Forest National Park is more lively. At nearly 3,000 meters above sea level. Bigugu mountain  is the highest peak. This is one of Africa's most important and unexplored birding destinations, with about 310 bird species, 26 of which are endemic to the region. For avid birding visitors, don't miss birding Safari. It is the largest gathering of chimpanzees in Africa.

[Volcanoes National Park]
Founded in 1925, the 160 km2 Rwanda Volcanoes National Park is part of a 410 km2 international reserve in Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo and is known as the Gorilla Beringei habitat. The volcanoes form the magnificent Virunga Mountains, including Bisuch, Mjiasinga, Michelo, and Mohawula, within the Volcanoes National Park. Bisucci also has a volcanic lake with evergreen forests, bamboo forests, grasslands, swamps, and evergreen shrubs, all of which create stunning natural beauty.

[Banana and Sorghum Beer Production]
Banana and sorghum are some of our staple Food products in Rwanda and they are used in different ways i.e.as food, local beer/drinks and very im-portant in the cultural practices most especially during our traditional weddings ceremonies, settling of disputes between community members, bonding relationship between different families etc. Rwanda has more than four different species of banana plants and each species of banana plant has got unique uses and values; practically, the visitors will learn and understand while in the field. Sorghum production is quite complicated but made simple to experience and really a thrilling experience.
