10 Days Uganda Safaris Tour- The pearl of Africa

Uganda is friendly, fascinating, and full of adventure. It is widely regarded as one of Africa’s safer destinations. Safe, small and with a perpetually springlike climate, it is a real treat when it comes to African travel. With a tapestry of landscapes, snow-peaked mountains, glassy lakes, excellent wildlife watching and welcoming locals, it is no wonder Winston Churchill dubbed this the “pearl of Africa”. Whether you are looking for mountain gorillas – the country’s primary allure -- wildlife safaris, volcano trekking, whitewater rafting or just kicking back on the beach, Uganda has the best of Africa covered.

The Safari takes you all around Uganda and generates life time Memory.

Ten national parks protect over half of the world’s mountain gorillas, along with chimpanzees, rare golden monkeys and a classic safari checklist including leopards, lions, elephants and hippos. Over 1,000 species of birds – more than 10 percent of all the world’s species.

[Top 5 national parks in Uganda]

1. Murchison Falls National park

Murchison Falls National Park is the largest national park in Uganda, located in the northwest of the country. The falls are not large, but they do live up to their name as the most powerful waterfall in the world. Here, the wide Victoria Nile River makes a sudden turn and is squeezed into a channel only 7 meters wide, pouring down from a height of 45 meters with 300,000 liters of water per second. It has been called "the most spectacular view on the Nile River at 6,650 kilometers long". From 1980s, the wildlife population has recovered considerably and the lush grasslands of the northern Nile are home to all the animals, minus the crowds, which can be seen by car. It is the perfect way to spy elephants, buffalo, crocs and loads of hippos while relaxing on the boat with a beer and enjoy the view of the waterfalls.

2. Queen Elizabeth National park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is a 1978 square kilometer park located in southwestern Uganda and is Africa's most famous safari park and Uganda's most popular national park. It is famous for its biodiversity and volcanic remains. The park has a variety of landscapes such as savannah, bush, wetlands and dense forests, and is home to more than 95 species of animals and 612 species of birds, the largest bird population in East Africa. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park spans 331 square kilometers of bush, mountain, and lowland forest, making this national park in Uganda an extraordinary and impenetrable forest area. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and  the best places to close encounter with mountain gorillas.

The national park is best known for its population of endangered mountain gorillas, half of the world's mountain gorillas, as well as many other species, and is recognized as one of the richest ecosystems in Africa. There are up to 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds and 220 species of butterflies, more than 1,000 species of flowering plants, more than 100 different tree species and 163 species of ferns.

With more than 250 species of plants, Kibale National Park is green, creating a feeling of prosperity as soon as you enter the park; the dense forest, the occasional colorful wildflower and butterfly, and the bird's nests in the tall trees add a touch of color and harmony to the park. Uganda Travel Tip

Changing money. Most places outside Kampala/Entebbe don't take credit cards. It is better to exchange cash in advance.

→ If you’re not super fit, we highly suggest taking a day off to relax after doing the gorilla trek at Bwindi National Park. You’ll likely be trekking for several hours in the jungle and your legs will be absolutely killing you the next day.

Get yourself a GRAYL water purifying bottle. The tap water in Uganda isn’t safe to drink, and you’ll have to buy bottled water constantly. The GRAYL is a bottle that purifies all sources of water in a matter of seconds by removing bacteria, viruses, and chemicals. You’ll save money in the long run, and you’ll make your trip to this stunning region of the world more environmentally-friendly.

→ Uganda uses type G plugs. Get a universal travel adaptor to make sure you can charge all your electronics while traveling Uganda.

→ Here are some nonstandard things that  you’ll need to pack for your safari in Uganda’s national parks.Tissue- even upscale lodges didn't have any in the rooms, also need for roadside stops. Hair conditioner - After hiking in the jungle or sitting in the car with wind and dust, you may need to be able to get a comb through hair. Flashlight - yes, don't forget it. Take less clothing than you think you need. It will all be dirty in a few days anyway.

→ Main taboos:
Do not use your left hand to shake hands or receive or deliver items; do not ask for personal privacy.
It is taboo to mention unlucky numbers such as "13" and "Friday".
Locals have taboos on some gestures: stretching out the left hand, palms down, fingers apart is an act of cursing; talking with fingers is mocking the other person as a douche bag. They also taboo to stick out their tongues because of something. The nomadic Karamoja people taboo to be asked about the number of their cattle and sheep.
People who see people wrapped in black cloth or black gauze from head to toe in the street must not stare curiously. They are Islamic women. Islamic rules stipulate that no part of a woman's body can be exposed to men.

Uganda Climate & Travel Season+

Uganda has a tropical climate, there are technically "dry" and "wet" seasons.

The best time to visit Uganda is during its two dry seasons: between December and February, and between June and August, when conditions are particularly good for trekking to see mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. The heaviest rains fall from March-May and October-December. Large numbers of wildlife can be seen at waterholes from September through to early October.

Temperatures barely change throughout the seasons, sitting around 24°C-30°C, so you can visit Uganda all year round. The country is also fabulous for bird spotting at any time of year.
