Vietnam Cross Coutry Trip Plan 10 days

Vietnam, with its long and narrow coastline, is composed of five regions-the mountain scenery in the north, the gourmet capital in the middle, the bay scenery in the southeast, the French style in the southwest, and the forest islands in the Mekong Delta.

This 10/13-day recommended  travel route with extension tours includes most of Vietnam's famous  tour destinations.

Ho Chi Minh

As the film location of the French movie "The Lover", Ho Chi Minh is full of rich French style, especially suitable for a city roaming. It retains many buildings of the French colonial period, the Opera House Red Church Central Post Office City Hall, etc., but also retains the romantic and laid-back feelings of the French, crisp and delicious spring rolls, delicious French baguette with beef powder, mixed with many other ingredients, leisurely romantic drip coffee, and shake juice of various fresh tropical fruits. Either way,  you will fall in love with this city right away.

Vietnam Baguette

Different from traditional French sticks, Vietnamese sticks are crispy on the outside. They are also sandwiched with meat and eggs by the hardworking Vietnamese people. They are also served with kimchi, pickled cucumbers, fresh vegetables and other ingredients, accompanied by various spices. Vietnamese people like to use this baguette as their first choice for breakfast. Accompanied by a glass of iced tea or coffee, enjoy the food while watching the roadside scenery.

Mekong Delta

The Mekong Delta is the richest plain in Vietnam and the most densely populated place in Vietnam. The river network is densely covered here, and you can take a small boat. If you are in the crisscross rivers, the endless rice fields, the orchards with seasons, the vibrant tropical plants, and the local customs, it is indeed a unique travel experience.

Floating market

Floating markets are part of local life in Mekong Delta, which explains why there are many of them. but the biggest one is the Cai Rang floating market where people sell and buy fruits Flowers and vegetables grown locally.. These floating markets open early in the morning (3 AM – 4 AM) and become busy around 5 AM – 6 AM. since people will work on farms or paddle fields during the day, so the market usually close before noon. Make sure you wake up early enough to catch the most energetic scenery .

Hoi An
Hoi An is a small port town on the central coast of Vietnam, with a profound cultural heritage, like a quiet and elegant Chinese Jiangnan town.

The magnificent buildings that remain to this day perfectly show the blend of Chinese and Japanese culture and Vietnamese culture.
The riverside scenery of the ancient city is also very intoxicating. Climate & Travel Season of Vietnam+

Vietnam's Climate can be divided a tropical and a temperate zone. The temperature in Vietnam typically ranges between 70°F and 95°F throughout the year. Average annual humidity is around 85%. Vietnam receives the majority of its precipitation during monsoon season, but the rest of the year also receives regular rainfall. The average annual rainfall is about 40 inches.

There are two distinguishable seasons in the southern areas. The cold season occurs from November to April and the hot season from May to October. The northern parts of vietnam have essentially four distinct seasons, it can be quite cool in the winter there, but very warm in summer. Vietnam has a tropical monsoon climate with high humidity but its varied terrain means the temperature and seasons will vary across the different regions.

The winter, or dryer season, is approximately from November to April.  The mountains in the north can get much cooler, if not cold, in the months of December and January. There is no clear "best time" to go to Vietnam as all regions, in all seasons, see their fair share of sun and rain. Vietnam has three distinct regional weather patterns. The far north of Vietnam is mountainous and its high altitudes can sometimes experience snow and freezing temperatures.

In Northern Vietnam, winter (November to April) is cool and dry and summer (May to October) is hot, humid, and rainy (July to September has the highest rainfall).Central Vietnam is hot and dry in the summer (January to August) and cool and rainy in winter, with monsoon-level rains in October and November.Southern Vietnam has constant warm temperatures.

Here the seasons are simple: rainy (May to November) and dry (November to May). As in any country, weather depends on your region, but generally Vietnam enjoys a warm, sunny climate with some temperature fluctuation from region to region.
