Hi again!rnrnGood morning. Its raining today. I heard there's a typhoon approaching Jeju. Glad were flying back to Seoul today.rnThe hotel we stayed was very comfortable and accomodating. Staff were very nice and resourceful even if there's a little language barrier. And the ajumma who'S preparing our food is very motherly. Food is great too and healthy.rnI have to mention this..the people in Jeju are very kind. We felt very secure. The taxi drivers, security guards and the passersby that we asked for direction...they made our trip very memorable.rnWe love to come back. Over all Jeju is one of the best place to visit. I would surely recommend this to everyone I know.rnThanks a lot Joanna. Thanks a lot Novaland!rnrnJamie NLT-140929-FJ39915

Dear Alice, rnrnWe are now at Narita airport, about to depart for Seoul, assuming we are fortunate enough to miss the looming typhoon!rnrnI would like to thank you so much for organizing our two week trip, travelling around Japan, it has been truly wonderful. We have both loved the culture and people of Japan, the sights, cities, countryside, scenery, and the museums in Nagasaki and Hiroshima. This has been our first visit to Japan, but we have both enjoyed it so much that we have decided to return again, hopefully in 2016 sometime.rnrnThere were only two very minor issues during our tour that I feel you should be aware of:rnrn1. The ryokan hotel in Hakone, was not aware that my wife was a vegetarian. I had booked dinner when we arrived at the hotel for 7pm, and when we arrived at the restaurant they had no vegetarian food prepared. This was not a major issue, as they did eventually prepare vegetarian food for her, but it did involve a slight delay. Perhaps I should have confirmed the fact that my wife was a vegetarian when I made the dinner reservation, but I had assumed that you had done this when the hotel booking was made by yourself.rnrn2. The hotel room at the Granvia in Osaka was far too small. Every hotel that you booked for us was excellent, in terms of room size and standard of room. This room in the Granvia, however, was really tiny and did not meet with high standard of room as in all the other hotels that you booked for us. It was most certainly not the four star rating that we expected. This is a minor point in the overall scheme of our trip, but one that I feel you should be aware of for future bookings for your clients.rnrnOne of my friends is hoping to visit Japan next year sometime, and I will have no hesitation in recommending both yourself and Novaland Tours, to help with arranging and booking his trip.rnrnThank you once again for arranging our trip around Japan, it has been a wonderful experience. Hi Emma – first full day back in the states (we had a stop in San Francisco) and I am still getting acclimated to the 13 hour time difference. Please see my comments below.rnrn1. How is our service throughout your tour from any aspects you feel? Such as our travel consultant, tour guide’s, drivers or others’ attitude; hotels, transportations, scenic spots’ arrangement; and any other words you would like to say to me.rn Both my son and I were extremely pleased with the planning done in advance and our two tour guides. Both of the guides were knowledgeable, flexible, and extremely courteous. We had great “planned” sites and some spontaneous sites (a paper-making company and a native market). We learned a lot from them about the history of Korea and about the Buddhist religion which made the whole trip so interesting.rn rnWe did not like the hotel in Andong. Although it was very new, it was in the middle of nowhere, service was not very good, and although it was “high-tech”, the basics were missing (there was no shampoo or conditioner in the room, there were only 3 hangers, just to name a few). We loved the hotel in Gweonju – in fact, loved everything about Gweongju and would definitely visit there again.rn rnSome of the highlights: Tumulli Park with the burial mounds; Haeinsa Temple; Hahoe Folk Village; and the Confucian Monastery.rn rnVery much appreciated being met at the train station in Seoul – unexpected but helpful.rn rn2. Where can we improve to be better and stronger?rn You might want to warn travelers that many of these sites require a bit of rigorous walking/climbing. As a 69 year old with a bum knee, some were very challenging. However, the guides were great about helping me maneuver steep stairs.rn3. Any other valuable comments, travel experience and happy moments you may have.rnMy son, who was born in Korean, says he came back with a better understanding of who he is and pride in being Korean. I thought that was a wonderful aspect to the trip. NLT-141006-FK50881

1. Dearest AlicernrnI just landed back in Israel.rnrnI must say I don't have enough words to express my deepest gratitude to Nova Land and to you Alice in particular.rnrnOur trip success went beyond my expectations thanks to your hard work and concern.rnThank you so much for taking care of us so patiently and for being attentive and responsive to our every need.rnrnI was so concerned in the beginning but very fast realize I could count on you to make our trip plan go smoothly.rnrnSo I want to thank you again and again for everything you have done for me and the ladies. I could not get any more satisfied.rnrnI would definitely recommend Nova Land to everyone I know. Obviously the ladies traveling with me share the same view. rnrnFeel free to give my Email to anyone who needs recommendations on your line of work.rn.rnPraise for Nova Land . And particular Praise for Alice. Our wonderful, wonderful trip consultant.rnWe really appreciate Alice's efforts.rnrnMy deepest gratitudernrnAll the bestrnYoursrnrn2. Dear AlicernrnSettling down and getting back to the routine has been a little tough.rnI wish we could still be on our trip.rnLike I promised I wrote a review of Novaland Tours on Tripadvisor. rnI hope you saw it.rnrnAgainrnI would like to thank you and Novaland for taking such good care of us.rnthanks to you we really had an unforgettable trip.rnI assure you I spread the good word about NovaLand to everybody.rnrnA few thoughts I have had which I thought you should be aware of..rnrnOur guide in Busan Kim Hyun Suk was the best out of the three guides we had.rnrnAlso, in my humble opinion, the best lunch plan you can offer is probably a buffet where you get more variety of foods. The Korean food is really tasty but sometimes it was a little too hot and spicy. Though we loved the cultural experience we were happier about the buffet.rnrnAnother thing...on our flight to and from Jeju though our luggage was heavy they didn't charge for overweight since we told them we got straight from an international flight.rnrnThat's all from mernthanks again for everything.rnrnYoursrnOsant NLT-141012-FK51722

Hi Alice, rnrnI thought the service provided was excellent and was very impressed with how you responded to the date change at the last minute. rnOur tour guide, Ms Kim, was wonderful. She was so sweet and we enjoyed the day with her immensely. The driver was very nice as well and efficiently drove us to all the sights and safely back to the ship. We really enjoyed the sights and the time we had at each stop. We saw far more on our tour than what was offered through Princess shore excursions. Lunch was probably larger than we required but it was very nice to try the local cuisine. I would definitely recommend your service. It was an exceptional tour and very good value for a private tour.rnrnMany thanks for all your organizing.rnrnRegards,rnMarj NLT-141015-YK51681

Hi Emma,rn rnThe trip was great and memorable. We both enjoyed the tours and the time spent in Korea.rn rnThe Tour Guides Mr. Lee and Mr. Chul has been very informative in terms of the history and information about the palaces, Nami island, the village, etc.rn rnPlease see comments in purple below.rn1. How is our service throughout your tour from any aspects you feel? Such as our travel consultant, tour guides, drivers or others’ attitude; transportation, scenic spots’ arrangement; and any other words you would like to say to me.rnrnThe Travel Consultants were very helpful in giving their proposals. It is amazing how quick their responses are to my customization of tours. They have also recommend other locations to fill in for the tour. I am very satisfied with the tours that was proposed. Also, the tip on gratitude for tour guides was also helpful since the amount given in the Philippines is different from Seoul. JrnrnMr. Lee has been very informative with our city tour. He would recommend when to take a break and help us in taking picture. What I like about him is that, he is able to find good Korean restaurants and gives us time to go around on our own to look at some stores and shops. Probable what I didn’t like but not that major is when we had to park. I was expecting that he would be dropping us in one spot while he looks for parking.rnrnMr. Chul is amazing! He took us to Nami Island and took pictures of all the iconic spots in the island. He also bought some bread which was delicious. Also, he explained the history of Nami and how it was developed. JrnrnFor Day 3, Mr. Lee accompanied us to the spots of available rides. Although it was raining, he was able to take nice pictures of us and we still got to see the whole everland.rnrnHotel transfers from Airport to hotel was fine. From Hotel to Airport, we were a bit annoyed since the driver was driving slow and we were swerving because he was watching the news while driving.rnrnBut all in all, the trip was the best we had so farJrnrn rn2. Where can we improve to be better and stronger?rn So far, everything was great. We don’t have any complaints. We enjoyed every minute of it Jrn3. Any other valuable comments, travel experience and happy moments you may have.rn Keep up the good work! And Thank you for the extensive planning. NLT-141018-FJ50527

Hi Alice, rnrnThank you for arranging the tour for us. Glad to provide feedback that might help you improve your services or for whatever purpose it may serve.rnrnThe tour in itself was great. I love the fact that we are able to customize the tour according to our needs and preferences. I appreciate you being able to provide us with alternatives based on our budget.rnrnThe Tokyo City tour you customized was packed and practical considering our limited time in Japan. rnDid not have any complaints with the Mt. Fuji tour your arranged through Sunrise Tours. rnWould have loved to have been informed though that Disneyland on a weekend is not the best idea, as there were literally thousands of people which resulted to us being able to only enjoy 1 ride. Nevertheless, we enjoyed it. Really appreciated as well your hands on and timely response to my emails.rnrnMy suggestions for improvement:rn- Send at least a day in advance the name and contact details of Driver to be assigned for each day of the tour.rn- Lilisu was very friendly and accommodating, and tried to answer all of our questions, however, I feel she needs to be more organized and knowledgeable of the tour and sites she presents to the tour group. She seemed to be new at her job, and was not very familiar with lay-out of the Tsukiji Market, Tokyo Tower, Sensoji, etc.rnrnHope this helps.rnrnReally had a great time in Japan, and looking forward to doing business with Novaland again in the future.rnrnThank you,rnDiane NLT-141020-EK51043

Dear Emma, rnrnWe are back in Singapore after a wonderful and memorable trip to Seoul and Busan. The accommodation and food were well located and the service was good. Please convey our thanks to the guides, Mr Cho of Seoul and Mrs Kim of Busan who were knowledgeable and considerate. Our only negative experience was being kept waiting on 2 occasions for almost an hour each time by the drivers - once by younger the tour guide in Seoul, and the other time by the elderly driver taking us to the airport. Otherwise, the trip went well and we enjoyed the magnificent scenery and interesting sites.rnrnRegards,rnLatha Nair NLT-141023-EK50999

Emma,rnI really appreciate your concern about us and the fact that you want us to be completely satisfied.rnWe had a very good day today. We visited all the places in your program and more. Kim took us to a dinner of our choice.rnThe room temperature was adjusted, as you have suggested, by opening the window.rnWe are looking forward to the trip tomorrow and the ride to Seoul.rn rnBy the way, are we going to meet you personally in Seoul? We would like that very much, so that we will have the chance to thank you in person.rn rnBest regards,rnMichael Perry.rnrnEmma,rnWe have arrived home safely.rnWe would like to thank you again for the trip you have organized.rnWe enjoyed it very much. 1. How is our service throughout your tour from any aspects you feel? Such as:rn rnMy work, such as the scenic spots’ arrangement, etc;rn- It was a very pleasant experience to have you as my coordinator. You were very easy to communicate with and you were very responsive and efficient with changes, questions and what not. you were very clear and gave good feedback. rn little issues i encountered: rn 1.) in the hotel Arrangement, we weren't informed with : the 3 pax 3 bedroom OSAKA VISTA HOTEL was in 3 separate floors. i suggest that this guest be informed with this as i was a bit suprised.rn 2.) Check out time at Hakone Hotel was 11pm.. we were not informed of the check out time and i guess they tried to tell us one hour before check out time through phone but we could not understand each other we failed to check by 11am so we were charged 1000yen per room. maybe guests can be informed of standard check out time in Japan and that there will be cost if passed the time. rn 3.) Since we know we are going to be picked up 12:30PM , we thought we could have lunch at Hakone Hotel.. but lunch was not served. So this is when i contacted you to contact Lilian if they can pick us up earlier so we can eat. THANKS SO MUCH for helping me with this. you were very responsive :) rnrnrnrnTour guides: their attitude, level of expertise (knowledge of the attractions), etc;rnam sure you have an idea with my sentiments on tour guides. honestly, it was a bit of waste because Tokyo and Mt Fuji tour guides were not good at all. they failed to spark our interest on the whatabouts of the place, people, culture, etc. David (my fuji tourist guide), even just left us to go around the area and also waited in the bus for some parts. crazy i think hehe.rnrnKyoto tour guide is the BEST! we were all so happy with him. the kids loved him and he was able to answer all our questions so clearly and thoroughly. he was very very helpful with a lot of things as well.rnDrivers’ attitude and how about the transportations?;rnall drivers were okay except . Their attitude were all very helpful and honest, nothing got lost or anything. excpet that our tokyo driver dropped us off the street to walk to the hotel even though the hotel had a loading and unloading area. It was a bit of a hassle to bring all our things and kids with all the people at SHibuya crossing area. rnrnTransportation/Bus is okay... everything seems to be working well. it was nice that we had a lot of space to ourselves. rnHotels: how do you feel about the each hotel?rnThe Hotel locations are absolutely perfect. the food and space is really good with the price. all are easy, convenient and very clean.rnAnd any other words you would like to say to me. rnTHANKS SO MUCH!!! oh can i request from lilian some of our family pictures :)rn2. Where can we improve to be better and stronger?rni guess better TOur Guides :) rn3. Any other valuable comments, travel experience and happy moments you may have.rn A lot of happy moments. I am really greateful Lilian was there. she was indeed very very very helpful, pleasant, nice, and patient with us :) NLT-141026-LK37485

After organizing a two week visit to Japan we decided to add a few days in Korea because we want to and it is such a short jet ride away from just about anywhere in Japan. The two countries share a very long historical(cool), cultural(very cool), religious(Buddhism plus) and violent(not so cool) history that makes them a very interesting combined travel experience that I would recommend to any traveler. After much consideration we went with Novaland Tours for our Korean visit primarily because of the extraordinary assistance of our online consulatant, Lillian Lin. We actually added several days to our plans for our Korean trip after discussing our many visit options with Lillian. She was patient, professional, responsive and thoughtful at all times. rnrnLillian organized all of our in-country air, train and tour transport which included airport pick-up and drop-off, small group tours(2-5) in and around Seoul and Busan and bus tours on Jeju Island. All of our itinerary was excellently planned by Lillian working with local providers and then executed with perfection in all ways by the tour staff in such a way that we always felt comfortable and like we were very welcome as friends and, maybe, even family. Ms. Jina and Robert in Seoul along with Mrs. Kim in Busan were excellent tour guides with a thorough knowledge of their respective locations and wonderful hosts for their country. The Jeju tours were large group so we really didn't get the personal contact with the guides that we had elsewhere but they were competent, friendly and knowledgeable.rnrnKorea is a peninsula which has been over run by Russia, China, the Mongols and Japan among others over the centuries and eons. Japan occupied and ruled Korea from 1910 to 1945. The two Korea's today are the direct result of the treaties ending World War !! and "temporary" Soviet and USA bifurcation of the country pending Korean self rule and the subsequent Korean War in which China joined N. Korean forces against U.N. forces. The United Nations Korean War Cemetery in Busan is a heart rending and sad reminder of this part of Korea's history. S. Korea today is a reflection of this history of other nations occupation over the eons. However, they also have a rich and unique Korean culture which you will see in the cultural villages, dances, historical dress, Buddhist temples, public markets, museums, etc.rnrnKorea is a vibrant, interesting, traditional and modern experience. We have traveled extensively, including in Asia, and Korea is a must see. It's economy seems to be coming back as is the world in general. They are building high-rise apartment buildings like crazy but with much more architectural appeal than China. They have a very good highway system and there are lots of newer cars on the freeways and they drive on the right side of the road for all you USA tourists. However, the traditional is also very important to Koreans and they are aware of their past and its importance while they build a modern economy. Major corporations play an extraordinary role in Korea as does the K-Pop music, Korean Drama industry and other cutting edge Asian entertainments...tourists from other Asian countries flock to Korea for all of these attractions, shopping and the more traditional. Bus loads of Chinese tourists come to S. Korea to play and shop as their economy improves. Given this tourism influx S. Korea is a multi-national experience in which you share your tour and personal time with people from throughout the world. rnrnGo to Korea...check in with Lillian at Novaland. Include Seoul, Busan and Jeju on your itinerary. Have a good time!!!rnrnVisited November 2014 NLT-141028-EK50754
