Sara we are backfrom our Japan trip.

I have come back with many sweet memories of Japan30years back.

Your all arrangements were absolutely upto themark except Tokyo guide and Tokyo transporter.

Tokyo guide mr Tanaka was a s a person very nicebut dod not prove to be good guide.

Selection of Tokyo indian restaurant at such a farplace which was a take away place only made things worse. we had to omitcertain itinerary because of that and I know very well about regulationsover there but the transporter ran away with all belongings including ourmedicines and passport. Our guide should have at least collected those valuablesfrom bus.

All other arrangements were fantastic without anyany hussels.

I must compliments you for your efforts andpatience and thank you very much for the same.
Your arranged osaka transporter mr Um and Beppuguide Ms. Kiyota were beyond expactation. They both were caring.

Hope to contact you for some next trip soon.

Dear Ann, thank you for your email and so sorry for very late reply please find below my brief respond on the issue you asked 1. How is our service throughout your tour from any aspects you feel? Such as our travel consultant, tour guide’s, drivers or others’ attitude; hotels, transportations, scenic spots’ arrangement; and any other words you would like to say to me. ( overall the service is good , as we know the tourist industry and the general manner in Japan is above the others :) , we were happy and appreciate of all the arrangement and the persons involved , especially our tourist guide in Hiroshima , Akiko san, she is one of a kind, one of the best guide we have encounter ) some small think maybe some new tourist may be shock if they may need to stand up in the train when rush hour, it may be good if they are informed before) 2. Where can we improve to be better and stronger? ( additional time at the place that so many souvenir shop , so we can have enough time to spend or to buy the souvenirs) 3. Any other valuable comments, travel experience and happy moments you may have. Hello Lillian, Thank you for reaching out to me. I was going to send you an email, just trying to get over the jet lag. I’m back at work and things are good. Firstly I really want to thank you for your patience on arranging our tour and your suggestions and tips. Really appreciate it. I have nothing but good things to say in dealing with you. When it came to the bus tour. The tour guide Paul, wasn’t really a good fit. We didn’t find that his English was good enough, so that when he had to translate something it took him quite a while and we lost interest in what he was talking about. Actually his Korean wasn’t very good either. He made it known right at the start that he was a Christian (which is fine), but the majority of the bus aren’t religious. When he found out that my sister in law is a United Church Minister, he then continued to talk about religion. Yes some of the info was pertinent as we were going to a Buddhist Temple. At the end of the tour, he was talking about things we already knew, like our baggage weight restrictions on our checked bags, our carryon baggage and departure time allowance. We all arrived to Seoul fine and had already been aware of the baggage and time allowances. He told my daughter in law (since she spoke Korean) that we all needed to tip him 10,000 won each. We did reluctantly. I knew that the tip for the guide and driver weren’t included, but I didn’t expect to be told what we had to tip. We would have tipped him but certainly not $170.00. We didn’t think he was worth it. I also then thought that maybe this is for partly the driver, but found out from him that he wasn’t going to share. So this didn’t sit well with us. When we first reached Gwanjiu, the bus took us to a Folk Museum centre and it was closed on Mondays. I looked at our schedule and it wasn’t even listed? Maybe he had extra time. It was our first stop, so it didn’t sit well that the first place we go to is closed. He did try and get us to pay 10,000 won each for admittance to a art gallery which was next door. We declined. Lunch he suggested a place which was a bit pricey for everyone, but my husband and I had already discussed paying for a meal for everyone to thank them in coming to Korea to attend our son’s wedding. So it worked out and everyone enjoyed the authentic Korean dining experience. The Ramada Inn in Gwanju was really nice and very welcome to everyone. We’re not used to the hard beds that the typical Korean sleep on, so having a hotel with more comfortable beds for the one night was great. Having the breakfast included was very nice as well and made for the early morning easier. The tea plantation was amazing and so beautiful, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Actually everything that we had planned was enjoyed, again we just didn’t think that Paul was a good fit for us. The Japan portion of our trip worked out well. Arrived in Osaka and got our rail pass, made it to Hiroshima and then back to Osaka. This is where it got bad. We couldn’t find the hotel and then Tony went into a hotel and they directed us to a hotel, too far away and it was wrong. We then got back to the right area, we just didn’t know which way to turn. A young man came and walked us to the hotel, which turned out well as by that time the street life, wasn’t good. Ladies of the evening and their pimps were around. I don’t know if I’d recommend the hotel in Osaka, just given the area. It was only one night for us, so fine. The tour guide and driver picked us up promptly at the hotel and the days tour was great. He was fun and knew a lot since he lives in the area. The day ended with them dropping us off at the train station onto Nagoya. Had a great day there and went to the Noritake Museum/outlet and then the Toyota Science Museum. Both were great and the hotel in Nagoya was good. We went on to Tokyo and the hotel that your arranged for us was very nice. It worked out well for us with access to the subway close. Thank you again for all of your assistance. Debbie McCallum

Hi. We did have a very good tour but we also had some issues. First, on the day in Tokyo when we had to get a bus a few blocks from our hotel, and carry all of our luggage, that was very inconvenient. We ended up getting two cabs because one wouldn't have been enough. BUt I do think that you could have provided transportation because carrying luggage is not easy. By the same token, when we were dropped off at the train station after the Mt Fuji tour, it was quite a walk to our hotel, again with luggage, and again we had to get a cab halfway when we realized how long the walk would be. I am used to door to door service on tours and not have to scramble to either find the bus in the morning or from a bus to our hotel after a tour. That may be okay if you are backpacking and have just one bag to carry but it's not okay when you are on a three week vacation and have two bags apiece. So the inconvenience of the arrangements at times was notable. As to the tours, we liked all of them except the particular tour guide at Hiroshima seemed to have her own agenda as far as moving us along during the tour. It was the 70th anniversary and we wanted to take some time and enjoy the atmosphere but she was always trying to get us moving and not allowing us to stop and look at things. Moreover, when we first arrived at the ceremony, she was at a loss to know where to go, as if she'd never been there, and consequently we weren't able to get positions close to the side fence where we could see, despite having arrived in sufficient time. We spent ten or fifteen minutes wandering around trying to figure out where to go. So we were not happy with her tour guiding. But the hotels were all good. And the particular tours were good. Unfortunately, the weather was bad for Fuji so that was a wasted day but that's not anyone's fault. So those are my thoughts. patrice
