Hello Siva. You are quite correct. It is a long flight from Jeju to Saskatoon, particularly when the Air Canada flight is 3 hours late leaving Incheon. That said, our Korean trip was very much enjoyed and we thank you for helping make the trip a very positive experience. Your attention to detail is commendable (值得赞美的,可推荐的). Your choice of our driver/guides was excellent. Mr Oh was like one of our own sons – respectful, caring and good natured. He made our tine in Seorak and Seoul special and was very generous with his time. Our one complaint about Seorak (and it could have been my fault for not being clear) was that our hotel was not within the park as we wished. There was nothing wrong with the hotel you picked, just its location. Our driver/guide Victor (spelling ?) on Jeju Island was also very good. He is very knowledgeable about the island and was patient with our many questions. He was also flexible in adding a visit to a traditional village. We enjoyed the hotel in Jeju and its downtown location. It may be some time before we return to Asia but we will certainly recommend your company to friends visiting Asian countries, Thanks again for your services, Garth

Hello Ms Lilian! Thanks for your email..Sorry I wasn't able to feedback due to busy schedule. I guess you may back your home after finishing your journey. May I ask did you have good time arranged by us? Yes, we did...We so love our tour with Novaland..We did enjoy Kawaguchiko experience--the onsen, the Mt Fuji View, the food was superb! That was our favorite hotel! 1. How is our service throughout your tour from any aspects you feel? Such as our travel consultant, tour guide’s, drivers or others’ attitude; hotels, transportations, scenic spots’ arrangement; and any other words you would like to say to me. ***Service was great. Coach was ok..Driver was friendly though sometimes he drives a little off..Overall, he's nice and a happy person. Our tour guide Daiki was exceptional! He's very accommodating, kind, a bit shy though in a good way, very sweet, generous and always listens to all our requests. We so love him!!!! Hotels are good..The best hotel for us was Kawaguchiko then Royal Brighton in Kyoto and the one in Osaka.. So far, everything was superb! Scenic spots, etc. Travel consultant Ms Lilian was always prompt to answer all my queries! Such an amazing agent! 2. Where can we improve to be better and stronger? ***Upon airport arrival we hope that the one who will pick us up will be there already..But we do understand that sometimes, we have to wait..We do encountered some bumps like the tickets that we are supposed to have--Disney Sea but instead we got Disneyland..Anyway, everything was well compensated for the mistakes. 3. Any other valuable comments, travel experience and happy moments you may have. ***We will truly get and recommend Novaland tours! Moreover, for you next trip arranged by us, you will enjoy benefit of deducting USD80/group from your full amount of next tour package with over 5 days duration. ***Thank you! I will keep this in mind... Looking forward for our next travel with you! Thanks and God Bless, Rhea

Hello Lillian, Thank you for reaching out to me. I was going to send you an email, just trying to get over the jet lag. I’m back at work and things are good. Firstly I really want to thank you for your patience on arranging our tour and your suggestions and tips. Really appreciate it. I have nothing but good things to say in dealing with you. When it came to the bus tour. The tour guide Paul, wasn’t really a good fit. We didn’t find that his English was good enough, so that when he had to translate something it took him quite a while and we lost interest in what he was talking about. Actually his Korean wasn’t very good either. He made it known right at the start that he was a Christian (which is fine), but the majority of the bus aren’t religious. When he found out that my sister in law is a United Church Minister, he then continued to talk about religion. Yes some of the info was pertinent as we were going to a Buddhist Temple. At the end of the tour, he was talking about things we already knew, like our baggage weight restrictions on our checked bags, our carryon baggage and departure time allowance. We all arrived to Seoul fine and had already been aware of the baggage and time allowances. He told my daughter in law (since she spoke Korean) that we all needed to tip him 10,000 won each. We did reluctantly. I knew that the tip for the guide and driver weren’t included, but I didn’t expect to be told what we had to tip. We would have tipped him but certainly not $170.00. We didn’t think he was worth it. I also then thought that maybe this is for partly the driver, but found out from him that he wasn’t going to share. So this didn’t sit well with us. When we first reached Gwanjiu, the bus took us to a Folk Museum centre and it was closed on Mondays. I looked at our schedule and it wasn’t even listed? Maybe he had extra time. It was our first stop, so it didn’t sit well that the first place we go to is closed. He did try and get us to pay 10,000 won each for admittance to a art gallery which was next door. We declined. Lunch he suggested a place which was a bit pricey for everyone, but my husband and I had already discussed paying for a meal for everyone to thank them in coming to Korea to attend our son’s wedding. So it worked out and everyone enjoyed the authentic Korean dining experience. The Ramada Inn in Gwanju was really nice and very welcome to everyone. We’re not used to the hard beds that the typical Korean sleep on, so having a hotel with more comfortable beds for the one night was great. Having the breakfast included was very nice as well and made for the early morning easier. The tea plantation was amazing and so beautiful, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Actually everything that we had planned was enjoyed, again we just didn’t think that Paul was a good fit for us. The Japan portion of our trip worked out well. Arrived in Osaka and got our rail pass, made it to Hiroshima and then back to Osaka. This is where it got bad. We couldn’t find the hotel and then Tony went into a hotel and they directed us to a hotel, too far away and it was wrong. We then got back to the right area, we just didn’t know which way to turn. A young man came and walked us to the hotel, which turned out well as by that time the street life, wasn’t good. Ladies of the evening and their pimps were around. I don’t know if I’d recommend the hotel in Osaka, just given the area. It was only one night for us, so fine. The tour guide and driver picked us up promptly at the hotel and the days tour was great. He was fun and knew a lot since he lives in the area. The day ended with them dropping us off at the train station onto Nagoya. Had a great day there and went to the Noritake Museum/outlet and then the Toyota Science Museum. Both were great and the hotel in Nagoya was good. We went on to Tokyo and the hotel that your arranged for us was very nice. It worked out well for us with access to the subway close. Thank you again for all of your assistance. Debbie McCallum

Hi Tina, Thank you again for arranging our tour itinerary. It was our first time visiting Seoul and Jeju Island for all seven of us and it will always be our fondest memory forever. We had such a wonderful time. The tour itself was quite at a fast pace, knowing we have only a limited time and cramming to see as many places as possible, we were tired but very happy to see so much of Seoul on our first visit. Enclosed here are three photos: when five of us arrived in Incheon Airport on the 1st day, a group photo of us all taken in Suwon Hwaseung Fortress and Hallim Garden, see how much fun we have! Below are some of our thoughts and feedback: Tour consultant –Since it was our first time to South Korea, we were relying on your expertise and guidance for the attraction places. You did a wonderful job in putting the itinerary together. We love Nami Island the place is beautiful, not because of the K-drama “Winter Sonata” being filmed there but because of the foliage. We took a number of beautiful pictures there. Due to the time constraint, I believe JSA tour was skipped but it would be good to include it as part of the DMZ attraction in the future. DMZ was also a memorable tour for us. Now that we had finished the tour and knowing what the attractions are, there were a couple of places that we would probably skip if we were to go to Seoul again. Tour guides – We enjoyed having Julie (Seoul) and Susie (Jeju Island) as our guides. They were very gracious, accommodating and patient. Thank you to Julie who arranged to have SunBee Hotel kept a few of our luggages in the hotel until our return from Jeju Island. One of us was flying to Malaysia before returning to US therefore she had additional luggage + we did so much shopping in Seoul that we had a couple more luggage that we did not want to haul to Jeju Island. Drivers – All the drivers were gracious but spoke little or no English. It would be nice for them to point out some areas or landmarks on the way to Seoul or on the way to the airport. Mr. Lee was punctual to pick us up to the Incheon airport for our departure flights. We arrived at the airport with plenty of time to go through the check-ins, security and shopping at the duty free shops. There was an incident where we had some slight misunderstandings due to language issue with Mr. Baek who picked us up from the Gimpo Airport to the Doo Guesthouse. We thought he was supposed to drop us off in front of the guesthouse but later found out that he was not allowed to drive through the alley where the guesthouse was. Later Mr. Baek assisted us in pulling some of our luggages to the Doo Guesthouse from where he parked the van. Thank you Mr. Baek! Hotels – We love the location of our hotels and guesthouse. The hotels were centrally located and convenient to the places where we can walk and experience the street food and shopping. We enjoyed our stay in SunBee Hotel very much. The room was large and clean. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and they spoke English. We’ll definitely stay in SunBee Hotel again. However, we had a few issues with the Ever Hotel in Jeju Island. The room was clean but the wooden flooring was a little sticky, probably needs a good cleaning. There were no slippers in the room. We felt the soap in the bathroom had been used before. The hotel issued only one access card for each room which caused some inconvenience since there were two of us sharing the room. We were informed breakfast in the hotel was only from 7:00 am to 8:00 am but we noticed people were still allowed to come to the dining room after 8:00 am. Even though the rooms were small, we love Doo Guesthouse. It was such a nice traditional hanok. We truly had a good experience staying in the guesthouse. You are right in advising us to stay up to two nights. Thank you for the advice. Breakfast was simple but it brought up back to the basic living. Food – Thank you in arranging for us to experience the local delicacies for lunch as part of our tour. The braised chicken cooked in black sauce and seafood pancakes for our Day 2 tour lunch was simply delicious. We went back to the restaurant and had a 2nd round of the same food for dinner on the last night of our stay in SunBee Hotel. In Jeju Island, we thoroughly enjoyed the Wellbeing buffet, thank you for adding this buffet as part of the local delicacies. The locally grown vegetables were delicious. On the 2nd day, we had a choice of Jeju BBQ or bibimbap but since we had already tried the BBQ (after our Nami Island tour) and bibimbap (had it in the Korean Folk Village), we requested for abalone porridge instead. We heard that the abalone porridge was famous in Jeju Island and we wanted to try it so maybe Novaland should promote and include this delicacy for lunch. Anyway, Susie was gracious to accommodate our request for abalone porridge. Thank you Susie! Another feedback is when lunch is not included in the tour, we suggest the tour guide discusses with the group the options of what to eat and then recommend where to eat. This situation came up when we were brought to a restaurant for lunch and some of us prefer to eat something else. Transportation – The bus/vans were clean and spacious for 7 of us. Thank you for providing comfortable transportation. Service – the services from everyone who contributed to our trip was very good. We do not have any negative words to say. Overall Novaland Tours did a good job organizing our private tour. I’ll contact you/Novaland Tours again when we decide to plan another vacation, probably in 2017?

Hi, Joanna, I would definitely recommend your company. The tour was fabulous, better that I could have imagined. Mr. Young is a perfect driver/guide. Works hard to made every day interesting, worthwhile and fun. He cared enough to take good care of me. The hotels were excellent. As it turned out, it was probably good that I stayed at two hotel in Jeju Island because of the location being near itinerary sites. Every day was a full day of sightseeing which I liked. I got more exercise on this tour thatnI probably did in 5 years which was an unexpected health benefit. Mr. Victor, the driver/guide for Jeju, followed the itinerary, as did Mr. Young, so that I did not miss out on the World Heritage Sites. Also both guides, especially Mr. Young, added additional sightseeing. I love to travel that's why I'm all booked up for 2016. I found your company to be reliable, honest and quick to respond. With much appreciation, Joyce

Dear Lynee First of all I want to apologize to you for my delay passing my comments to you. Novaland Service which was represented to us by the wonderful professional Travel Consultant Lynee Zhao, was really outstanding. I would give Lynee Zhao a score of Twelve out of Ten. I was really impressed with Lynees’ quick replies to our requests around the clock and she did her best to ensure that our tour of Japan exceeded our expectations. Lynee managed to achieve this goal successfully. I always remember your follow up calls with us when we were in Japan to ensure that everything was done as planned. Tour Guides and Tour Guides’ drivers were professional and met our expectations. We could tell that our Tour Guides were carefully selected. Hotels were outstanding to excellent to below average. Please do not send guests to Luxury Wa Hotel Kaze No Kaori. It was much below our expectations from many aspects and it will reflect negative image about your agency Novaland Tours, I wrote comments about it in Tripadvisor.com. My logon Id is AABDHAHRAN. My review of this hotel is written under http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g298123-d1552982-Reviews-Kazeno_Kaori-Ito_Shizuoka_Prefecture_Chubu.html My other hotel reviews can also be found in tripadvisor.com. Transportation was smooth. However, there was a minor issue (maybe because of our ignorance), on Day 7 Oct 19 Atami-Ito and on Day 9 Oct 21 Ito-Atami we had to purchase tickets for Atami – Ito and Ito – Atami sectors. JR Employees AT ATAMI Station requested us to purchase tickets even though we showed them the cards (Atami-Ito and Ito-Atami) which you gave to us. In summary, If we ever think of touring countries in Far East, we will contact you. We will also recommend Novaland tours to our friends. Thank you.

This trip has been amazing. I'll respond fully when I have more time and I have a lot of positive stuff to share :) We're still going to go to the DMZ tomorrow and return on Saturday. At that time, I'll find the time to answer fully. So I had an almost 100% positive experience with everyone. Melody, your itinerary was lovely, packed with beautiful things and great activities. The guides and drivers were all lovely, punctual and knowledgeable. It was a very special trip! I think the only negatives were that we realized that 2 free days might have been better than just one free day. Also, we booked too many temples - by the end it got a little boring - but the guides were great at moving quickly and we did other things. Our only problems came from communication. In the itinerary, it was stated "your guide will give you tickets" or "your guide will tell you the time of tomorrow's pickup." However, each time, I realized later that the guides did not tell us those details. I would simply call Jacky and get that information though. Also, on our final day, our itinerary said 12pm pickup but the guide was waiting from 11am. These are small issues and did not make any negative impact on our enjoyment of the trip - I'm only mentioning this because you asked :) I loved the trip! These guides were amazing and I recommend using them again! If you ever book a trip to Seoul, I strongly recommend you suggest to your clients to visit the Hongdae neighborhood - it's very cool. Thank you Melody! Your hard work in booking this is very appreciated.

Hello, Emma Greetings from Seoul, Korea! We are still here as my husband has a long conference + meeting, and then we will have a few days exploring Seoul together. We return to Scotland on Friday 30 October, after more than 3 weeks in Korea. The first part of our time in Korea was spent with Novaland and was excellent - that is our summary of your tour! 1. TRAVEL CONSULTANT - Emma Chen - excellent, efficient, flexible and accommodating in the preparation of our tour. You always replied promptly and pleasantly. Everything went very smoothly because of your good planning and communication. TOUR GUIDES Jeju - Yeha tours x3, to the South, West and East were all excellent. (Both guides were very good, Je Hoon and Gin - but especially the latter). Busan - Kim was a brilliant guide - very knowledgable, interesting, personal and kind. She answered our many questions with patience! Gyeongju, Andong (Daegu) etc - Mr Jon(g) - a wonderful guide with so much knowledge, experience, and understanding of history, culture and religion, plus a great sense of humour! DRIVERS ETC. The lady who met us at Incheon Airport was pleasant - she must have wondered where we were as our luggage was left in Quatar (transit stop) so we had to discuss with the Airline how to forward it. Drivers from Incheon Airport to Sunbee Hotel (9 Oct), and from Sunbee Hotel to Gimpo Airport (10 Oct), possibly did not know the way to the Sunbee Hotel - maybe SatNav misdirected them. Yeha bus drivers in Jeju were all very good Driver form Busan Airport to Toyoko Hotel - Mr Jacky Choi, was excellent and informative, but we wished he had introduced himself at the airport! Good to meet the local organiser. Driver for 5 days - around Busan and then on to Daegu - Mr Choi (brother), is an excellent, careful, reliable driver. We felt very safe. HOTELS. Sunbee Hotel, Seoul - was an excellent choice - so central, but quiet, and with clean, comfortable rooms, and welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. Good Korean breakfast too. Easy to walk to historical places. Ever Hotel, Jeju, was pleasant to stay in with a good breakfast. It was near a street with restaurants and especially cosmetic shops, but did not have scenic places to walk to - not really necessary! Toyoko Hotel, Haeundae, Busan, was comfortable and quiet, with a very good breakfast, and close to the beach and other places to walk. There were nearby restaurants. SCENIC TRIPS We thought the visits were well planned and varied. They allowed us to see a lot of the cities and countryside (especially beautiful with the Autumn colours), but also to understand more of the religious, historical and cultural background, with visits to temples, tumuli, museums, markets, beaches and cultural villages. We enjoyed being introduced to varied local cuisine too. We have many happy memories of all the places we visited and of people we met, and the guides who explained things so well to us. It was good to be part of bigger groups on the Jeju tours, but very special to have our own guide and driver on the mainland Novoland part of the trip. Communication was very good before and during the trip so we always knew what each day would involve. It is difficult to think where / how you can improve your service as it was so good! We will thoroughly recommend Novaland and try to persuade some of our friends to use your company! Thank you very much! With our best wishes Colin and Marian Martin

Johanna I have only been home for one day and had planned to send a note. It is a long trip home and my last flight was cancelled so yesterday was spent finding my luggage and just getting accustomed to the 14 hour time change. I was very happy with all of your arrangements and will be recommending your company to anyone planning to travel where Novaland Tours can help with a tour. Mr Young did an excellent job guiding us around the Seoul area and introduced my granddaughter and I to great food and experiences. He found special events for us such as a parade celebrating the harvest and the changing of the guard at the temple. He was very knowledgeable and good at explaining the sites. The tours arranged in Jeju were good. I met others who were also traveling with Novaland Tours and we were all happy with your service. I was very happy with the hotels that you arranged, the locations and service were fine. All had English speaking workers who were so helpful. Johanna, I could not ask for more from a tour planner. You were so responsive to my wishes and arranged a tour that I will not forget. Because you were so thorough in your arrangements, I was able to enjoy your country without any problems. Thank you.
