Hi Joanna, I hope you're doing well. Regarding our trip from Kyoto back to Tokyo on August 12, 2015 (Day 4-Wednesday), we were on coach 14 on the bullet train which departed at 8:00 pm and reached Tokyo station after 2 hours. We got out of the train but the driver was not there to meet us as scheduled. We walked far to the left and then far to the right of the station but there was nobody with Novaland plackard. We even stayed for 40 minutes around the area as my son went to information and tried to call you 4x but no answer. A Japanese nearby even helped us use the phone but still unsuccesful. It was getting late and almost all people on the station were gone, so we decided to just use the subway to get back to Shiba Park hotel. It was an ordeal for us especially we are not familiar with places there. Aside from this incident, all the tour guides/drivers who picked us up were on time and we did not have any problem. We arrived safely in San Francisco yesterday. Thank you for assisting us in our travel to Japan and Korea. We enjoyed tremendously all the beautiful places, temples/shrines, shows, food and all historical sites that you scheduled for us. My 2 sons liked especially the DMZ adventure. We will remember all these experiences and memories for the rest of our lives. We're grateful to you and Novaland for making it possible. Bert and Tess Gimeno.

Hi. We did have a very good tour but we also had some issues. First, on the day in Tokyo when we had to get a bus a few blocks from our hotel, and carry all of our luggage, that was very inconvenient. We ended up getting two cabs because one wouldn't have been enough. BUt I do think that you could have provided transportation because carrying luggage is not easy. By the same token, when we were dropped off at the train station after the Mt Fuji tour, it was quite a walk to our hotel, again with luggage, and again we had to get a cab halfway when we realized how long the walk would be. I am used to door to door service on tours and not have to scramble to either find the bus in the morning or from a bus to our hotel after a tour. That may be okay if you are backpacking and have just one bag to carry but it's not okay when you are on a three week vacation and have two bags apiece. So the inconvenience of the arrangements at times was notable. As to the tours, we liked all of them except the particular tour guide at Hiroshima seemed to have her own agenda as far as moving us along during the tour. It was the 70th anniversary and we wanted to take some time and enjoy the atmosphere but she was always trying to get us moving and not allowing us to stop and look at things. Moreover, when we first arrived at the ceremony, she was at a loss to know where to go, as if she'd never been there, and consequently we weren't able to get positions close to the side fence where we could see, despite having arrived in sufficient time. We spent ten or fifteen minutes wandering around trying to figure out where to go. So we were not happy with her tour guiding. But the hotels were all good. And the particular tours were good. Unfortunately, the weather was bad for Fuji so that was a wasted day but that's not anyone's fault. So those are my thoughts. patrice

Joanna, Yes, our arrangements were great, as was the service our tour guides and driver provided. Here are some specifics: All hotels were good or great. At the Grand Ambassador in Seoul, the air conditioning did not fully cool our room but the hotel provided us with a fan which helped. Our tour guide in Seoul, Young added some sights we had not requested (War Memorial, a hagwan, etc.) which were really good additions. The days were far longer than expected, but the extra effort was worth it. Some food suggestions would have helped in Gyeongju as we arrived late and most places were closed. However, we had a McDonald’s across the street :). Our other tour guide, Kim, and the driver Mr. Choi were also great and used really good judgement about where to spend time and where to cut things shorter. Thanks for your assistance and should we travel in your territory, we will definitely consider Novaland!

Everything was great. We even had time to run by Toji temple. I need to look at Tokyo and get to you ASAP. Need tour on Wednesday the 5th. Let me look at a few things we would like to see. Train ride back was easy and no issues. We ended up with 9 sites I think. It was perfect.

Hi Joanna, I wanted to tell you that my entire family thought the tour was fantastic. Our guide, Ms Kim, was a sheer joy. She made this stop the best port on our cruise by far. We loved talking to her and we all wished we had more time in Busan for Ms Kim to show us even more things in that intriguing city. In talking to her, it sounded like she only did this part-time, which I thought in some ways was a shame... she is a great ambassador for her city and I would think that her positive, friendly attitude would be a great way to have people want to come back to Busan. We know we do! Thanks! Ion PS: I just submitted a 5 star review on TripAdvisor for this tour, which I hope will be published on their site soon.

We have had 3 good days with Mr Young. Unfortunately I have gastroenteritis. I have suggested he takes guests to different restaurants. He is very attentive, knowledgeable and reliable. This is said as someone who has been on dozens of tours in 88 countries. The DMZ tour is repetitive and eventually gets boring. Gyeong Ju interesting. The guide did not know we were staying overnight. Then gave us tickets for the return journey for last month!

Hello Lillian, Everything was good, our tour guide in Tokyo was excellent and was able to cater to all our needs. However, the hotel in Kyoto was not that good and needs a lot of improvement. Other than that, we enjoyed our trip and would recommend nova land tours to family and friends. Thank you Best wishes,

Hi Tina! ! All is great! We are at airport now waiting to go to jeju. The weather hasn't been great but hopefully it will improve :) Kim & 'team zhang' were both so helpful. Kim was very informative and took us to the destinations and sampled local cuisines. We all are very happy. Lamer hotel is good- no complains (breakfast was a lil sad though haha). Thanks for following up :) Cheers, Hi Tina, The trip was great! The whole trip was! Thank you for organizing our itinerary. Will definitely promote and be a returning customer. When i get time, i will be reviewing on sites like trip advisor and also social media. Thank you once again. Regards,

好评: The bike tour yesterday was great. Our tour guide Annie did an excellent job. We went to the bamboo forest in the afternoon its was amazing. 投诉酒店: I just wanted to let you know that we have arrived safely and enjoying the sounds and sights of Tokyo. You should know however that we are very disappointed with the quality of the Sheba Park Hotel. The room décor is old and musty and poorly located. Frankly it is not a hotel that I would be recommending. It is a big disappointment.

Hi Melody, I’m so sorry it took a while to write back to you, but we were really tired from the jet lag. There’s a 13-hour difference in time between the eastern U. S. and Korea, and when it’s morning there it’s night here. First of all, I can’t tell you what a wonderful time my husband and I had in Busan, and much of it was due to our guide Ms. Kim and driver Mr. Choi. Ms. Kim was extremely knowledgable of the places we visited and made it really interesting with her personal stories. She allowed us to go at our own pace and we felt extremely comfortable with the two of them. The lunches were just right for us - I think it gave us a hint of real Korean food even though it was not spicy-hot. Since we allowed only two days, I know that we did not get a grand view of Busan, but the places chosen were just right to give us a hint of what the area is like. Thank you for arranging the tour. I’m glad I decided to go with a private tour since my husband and I were really tired from the long airplane ride. Please thank Ms. Kim for me and let her know that if we’re ever in Busan again I hope we can find a guide like her. Jean

Hi Emma, These are the things we really liked: Hallim Park, Trick Art Museum, Seongeup Folk Village, Seongsan Sunrise Peak and Women Divers, and the Manjang Cave. Although my children liked the Teddy Bear Museum, my husband and I thought it was pointless. We did not feel it was representative of Jeju Island. Joy was an amazing tour guide. She was kind and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed her company. She was sensitive to the needs of my elderly mother and very concerned about my husband when he cut his toe. We could not have asked for a better tour guide! Having said all of this, in hindsight, we wish we would have simply made reservations at a resort on Jeju Island and spent two days on the beach relaxing. The tour was ok, but we felt that we drove through much of the older parts of the island that were not very attractive. We were also exhausted at the end of each day and had hoped for a more relaxing two days. This was our fault. We did not realize what the tour would be like and wished we had not booked it. We do not feel that we saw the most beautiful parts of the island. Some of the resorts are gorgeous and we would rather have gone to one of them. I hope this makes sense! Kelly McDonald
