Emma,rnI've just arrived back in Malaysia after a 5-days visit to Seoul, Korea. My family and I are very happy and satisfied with the hospitality and commitment that been provided by your tour guide, Mr Young. He was very resourceful and patience with us. Five days seems too short for us. If I plan to return to Seoul for another visit I'll surely seek Mr Young to be our tour guide, not to forget Novaland Tours.rnRegards,rnRamli

Well, the trip was an awesome one. Mr Young was a great driver and tour guide. He understand our needs. He had been patient with my son who always vomitted cos he had motion sickness where he couldnt stand sitting too long in a vehicle. Young was friendly and love to play with my children. Now my children is missing him.rnYoung could easily adjust himself with us. We feel like a family.rnrnArrangement by you was great too. Since its a customised tour, im happy with my schdule and itinerary. We did skip few places cos we were too tired and this also helped Young to rest too.rnOn our last day, I wanted to go and grab some stuff at Hard Rock Cafe Seoul and thanks to Young for driving all the way from Namsan to Lotte Mall and back to Itaewon just for Muslim Halal Food.rnWe got to eat Halal food at Itawon for few times!rnrnMy choice of accomodation, Pinelog resort and Sims winter cabin were AWESOME! My children love the Sim Winter cabin cos its surrounded by snow and they enjoyed playing with the snow. And yes Stay in Gam too was a good one. We have no problem with the accomodations.rnrnThe only problem but not really a problem is when Young unable to follow us all the way thru. On one of the days, he got to go back for military Reservist. Therefor he send another driver name Brian to bring us to Everland and back to Seoul. He speaks little English and he got lost when finding for Stay in Gam. Luckily all of us remember the way to the hotel so we actually guided him. Haha!rnOn our last day, Young had to be back at 5.30pm, so again he sent another driver name Ho to drive us for dinner and back to the airport.rnThe only thing we disappointed was Ho actually dropped us at the side of the road outside the airport, and worst he did not assist us with the luggages. We had to bring all out from the mpv by ourselves and walked to the airport! And just imagine, that night was the coldest among our stay there.rnHmmm.. all i can say is that Ho was not helpful and friendly.rnrnOverall everything was great! Me and my family would like to thank you and your team for the trip.rnYoung is a great guy indeed!

Hi Emma,rnI had so many great times during our trip in Korea, not only because of the beautiful places & sceneries we visited, but also because of the hospitality of our tour guides, the comfort hotels, and many more.rnrnThe arranged schedule was quite tight, almost everyday we had to start at 9 AM and came back to hotel at 7 PM. For some of my friends it was exhausted (the very cold weather also quite draining), but overall it was fun and we could see many great places & experienced many korean culinaries.rnrnMr. Young is the best tour guide I have had, so far. We had lost 3 suitcases at the time we arrived in Incheon, and he helped us to get the suitcases in a short time. He also took care all of our needs even though it was not really his job to do.rnMr. Victor also gave us great services while in Jeju.rnrnAmong 3 hotels we have stayed, I mostly like our hotel in Busan Toyoko Inn. The room was not so big, but it was clean and neat. Also near to the beach.rnrnPersonally, I am grateful to have selected Novaland Tours, and will not think twice to use your services again for my next trip. Hopefully with an even more better price.rnrnThanks Emma! Have a nice day.rnrnrn rnRegards,rnEster Agustina Tampubolon

Dear Ms. Tina, rnrn We just got back here in the Philippines last Friday, January 23,2015. About the tour package, we have no problems with that, its GREAT! We got to see what we're expecting! And I just want to thank you for your very good service, very good tour package, the tour guides are very courteous and hospitable and very knowledgeable about the historical places which gave us a better understanding about Japanese culture. We also tried their Japanese cuisine , wishing on their temples, great shops! the only problem we encountered was when we left by the bus on the 1st day of our tour, But we made it ! Fortunately, they contacted us, and waited for us in a bus terminal! Maybe my suggestion is, the tour guide must hold a banner with which includes the name of the pax on it, because the only banner that they're holding is the name of the agency, SUNRISE travel and tours, which we got confused because we're looking for NOVALAND travel and tours. That's all! THANK YOU SO MUCH!rnI just want also to share some of our pictures during the tour !rnrnSincerely yours,rnAlvin OcampornrnSent from my iPad

Dear Tina,rn Thank you for following up with my request for Mrs. Freedman. I think there is little doubt that we all enjoyed the trip to the DMZ and learned a great deal of new information. We all appreciated the services provided and the guides attempt to make us comfortable as well as to make up for not having enough time for a meal by buying us a Korean treat to snack on.rnIf I had one suggestion for him it would be to be a bit more assertive in offering information to the tour groups he guides. He certainly seemed knowledgeable and when asked was quick to provide the information requested. He also accommodated our desires to stop to shop etc.rn rnshmiller

Here is some feedback as promised:rn*******************************************************************************************************************************rnrnPretour booking arrangements with Novaland were very efficient and professional. Email communications were answered quickly and clearly. Payment details were straightforward and precise. The pricing was fair, with choice of private or group tour. Melody Fan was the travel consultant and I quickly developed a good rapport with her which is good because I can be diificult and demanding !rnrnThe tour was in multiple parts because we were doing some independent travel as well but it all worked seamlessly.rnDrivers and guides were always on time, the vehicles used were good, and the guides very professional, personable and knowledgeable with good English skills. The drivers were good although one did drive faster than we like, perhaps because the distances were far but he was competent and we did not feel unsafe. The tour in Jeju was with a group on a coach and we had a pickup with a van in the morning. At the tour end we were given bus tickets and dropped at the airport to catch the next bus. This was not very good because it took 1.5 hours to return to our hotel late at 18:45. It would be better to have a return transfer.rnrnThe pace of each day tour was good, the selection of sites to visit was very good but we did wait until late to stop for lunch on 2 days. This was on the 2 day part out of Busan. It would be better if the driver & guide gave us some detail of the days itinerary first, this is what the Seoul and Jeju guides did. There was some confusion about our last dinner being included but we sorted this out with the driver and guide. The hotel in Busan was fine with a nice breakfast, in Andong the hotel did not have any non smoking rooms or a breakfast area so we stopped at a highway restaurant. Fortunately there was no smoke in the hotel !rnrnWe were very impressed with the beauty of Jeju and the tour brought us to some very scenic places. The fist stop the Trick Art museum was fun but we would prefer something more scenic or cultural. The guides really helped us to understand Korea, to appreciate the ancient temples, palaces, villages etc. so we want to return but later in Spring so that the blossoms are out and all is green and even more beautiful.rnrnWe found we could travel independently because people are very helpful but also are very happy we did some portion with Novaland Tours because of the extra insight we got. Melody Fan and Ms. Amor Huang of Novaland are a class act who treated us with tremendous concern and caring whenever there was even a slight problem. rnrn*********************************************************************************************************************************

This is just a short note to thank you (especially) and Novaland for arranging a very nice tour of Japan for us. All the arrangements you made for us worked out perfectly, from the size of the mini-bus/van that you arranged at all our destinations with very courteous and helpful drivers, to the very knowledgeable tour guides throughout the tour. The hotels that you picked for us were all first rate - clean, well run and very accommodating. All the furnished breakfast buffets were excellent as well as the included kaiseki dinner at Kajikaso Ryokan in Hakone. Everything was memorable and the tour guides were very helpful about taking pictures of the whole group so that no one would be left out of any of the pictures they took for us.rnrnAt times, we had to make minor changes to our itinerary (such as the first day when we took longer than I had anticipated getting out of the airport and had to reschedule our tour of the Osaka Castle until the next day on our way to Nara). Both tour guides did an excellent job of meeting our active schedule and I can't think of anything on the itinerary that we did not see or do.rnrnI think one of the highlights for me was the two nights at Kajikaso in Hakone, where we enjoyed the luxury and comfort of the private onsen both days and to relax in our yukata while sleeping and eating during our stay at the ryokan.rnrnI'm sure there are a lot of other highlights, such as the ladies in our group enjoying all the shopping they could fit in on the time allotted and the magnificent close-up of Mt. Fuji on a blessedly clear day, all the magnificent temples, castles and shrines that I hope my children and grandchildren will remember for the rest of their lives.rnrnWe took several pictures with the Novaland pennant in them. If any of these pictures should appear in future Novaland magazine or advertisement, we would appreciate it if you can send us a copy or two. It will help us reminisce about the good time we had in Japan.rnrnThank you for everything.

Young is also wonderful. I placed a review on Trip Advisor. He is taking excellent care to make our Korean journey an adventure. He is an amazing, caring, kind, thoughtful, reliable, thorough in his planning and guiding. We are enjoying and learning much about Korea. He is very generous. We feel he is taking extra care with us.rnAppreciatively, rnBarbararnrnEmma,rnI hope all is well with you and Mr. Young.rnrnIt has been about a month from our return from South Korea. I was in a car accident and many non-essential tasks have been delayed. But I am recovering and wish to share our thoughts.rnrnMr. Young was incredibly generous with his time, planning and guiding. Everyday was a new adventure. He extended each day with wonderful surprises and additions. He provided extensive narration in history, culture, and geography. With his educational history background, he was most interesting. and being a veteran added yet more diverse discourse.rnrnHe also listened and added places and events to the tour that we did not know would be of interest. Mr. Young showed us the beauty of Korea. Had we taken a group tour, we would have not seen as much or had the kind care I think. A private tour made the trip unforgettable, and he made each day magic. When he found out we were “foodies” he made sure we ate wonderful authentic Korea that was very diverse.rnrnHe was flexible to begin late on days we wished a delayed start. He included additional days, a most generous gift. He stayed with us to the airport and saw we knew where to go.rnrnMr. Young was diligent, hard-working, clever, funny, a great driver. His English language skills were very good.rnrnIf you talk with him, please let him know I am recovering from the car accident. My car was a total loss. The police and doctor told me I was VERY lucky…like the fortune teller said. (one of my favorite events.)rnrnI have recommended Novaland and Mr. Young to friends that are interested in touring Korea.rnrnPlease share this communication with Mr. Young.rnrnWith deep appreciation,rnBarbara Barkemeyer

Hi James,rnHow are you? We are now back home. We had a terrific time in Japan. Thank you.rn rnI am just busy today so I will write again tomorrow.rnAmong the 4 hotels that you booked us in, we enjoyed best at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Shimbashi. Fantastic location, good service, clean rooms, satisfying breakfast. Please book us there next time in future. Also for all your other clients, they will be happy at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Shimbashi.rn rnNext was APA Hotel – good service and great breakfast buffet. But location is so far away from train station.rn rnWorst hotel among the four is Kyoto Plaza Hotel. It has good location and passable breakfast but the rooms are old and they smell of wet carpet and human sweat/body odor.rn rnHakone Hotel Kowaki-en is a grand hotel but in bad need of renovations, especially the bathrooms. Bedrooms are fairly large and the breakfast buffet was sumptuous. My daughter had to hold the shower button the whole time showering because it wont hold.rn rnAnyway, I will send over the receipt for the breakfast at Hakone Hotel tomorrow… I have 265 emails to go through today.rn rnThank you,rnGracern rnGrace Perez, MscrnResearch Coordinator, QI & EpidemiologyrnDepartment of Family Medicine | University of CalgaryrnPhone: +1 403 210-7129
