Dear Joanna, Thank you for organising a wonderful holiday for us. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sights, learning about the history of South Korea and eating delicious Korean food. All of the guides were excellent, and each had their own strengths. Mr Lee (Day 1 & 2, Airport transfer and Suwon Tour) had great local knowledge. From the moment he picked us up at the airport he was sharing information on what to see and do while in Seoul. Jeff (Day 3, Seoul tour) was eager to show us the sights and be our personal photographer. Joy (Jeju Island) was friendly, helpful and encouraged us to climb mountains as she knew it would be worth the effort. Despite having such a large group she took the time to talk to each of her guests, making them feel welcome and catering to their needs. Mrs Kim (Busan and Gyeongju) was kind and willing to make adjustments to the schedule when requested or if she saw something that would interest us. We liked the variation of group sizes also, with some days just us and others in a larger group, this really helped to make each day different from the last. Thank you for organising all of our transfers, even these people seemed to go above and beyond to share their knowledge of Korea and history with us in the little time we spent with them. The accommodation throughout our stay was incredible. The service was excellent and all of the staff had at least a basic grasp of English which was extremely helpful. The rooms were all immaculate and far more luxurious than we would have expected. We had a fantastic time in South Korea and will definitely be looking at Novaland for our next holiday in Asia. We will be recommending you to anyone else that is travelling throughout Asia in the future. Thanks again, Ashley & Hayley Boardman

We had a good time on our tour, we just had a few hours to tour around kyoto, we were only able to visit few places, our tour guide was not really a local guide living in japan so she does'nt have much knowledge on the sites that we visited, she did not explain very well the historical background of the sites that we went but she was overall friendly, helpful and nice. Thank you very much for your help.

Dear Joanna, Thank you so much for arranging our 7D/6N tour of Busan, Gyeongju, Andong and Jeju. I really appreciate your quick replies to my numerous queries and emails. We had a blast with Ms Kim in Busan, Gyeongju and Andong. Ms Kim is always smiling and she tells us about the places we visit, folklore and legends, too. we gossiped about Korean actors and actresses, we chitchat about K dramas. Ms Kim took us to a shop in Gukje market where we bought cheaper souvenirs. We had 2 drivers for Busan, Gyeongju and Andong. Both Mr Choi speak little English but were good. The car was comfortable, just enough for the 7 of us. When we arrived at Gimhae Airport, our luggage were sent to our hotel in a separate car. Jeju didn't impress us much, it was made worse with Cindy, who was supposed to be our tour guide for Jeju. Cindy met us with her stern face at Jeju airport. Her car was barely big enough for the 7 of us with our 7 pieces of medium size luggage. She was more concerned with her new car then being a tour guide. For the 2 days in Jeju, Cindy was just the driver, not a tour guide. Cindy would drive us to a location with little or no explanation, tell us which way to go, she would sit and wait in her new car or wait for us in a cafe. She didn't do her homework before meeting us. She asked where we are from, asked to see our itinerary. And when she spoke to us, it seemed that she was doing us a favor. Cindy should have warn us that we were to be locked up in a little room at Seongeup Folk Village to listen to the sale pitch! On our last day in Jeju, Cindy reminded me that she took 2 coastal roads for the scenic drive to our location(in our itinerary). Hotels in both cities were strategically located, places to shop and eat are near by. On the whole, the trip was good, and we would definitely use Novaland Tours again. Regards, Nanie Yang

Dear Tina and Novaland Tours, My wife and I want to thank you, Novaland Tours, and Mr. Lee, Soo Bok, for an outstanding job during our visit to Korea. Mr. Lee was an exceptional tour guide. His commentary and insight were excellent and were full of insight. He understood what we wanted to see and did an outstanding job of representing your company and your country. Our warmest thanks and appreciation to you and Mr. Lee for a wonderful vacation. Sincerely, Doug & Lani Moss

Thanks Alice for the reminder. Our first day is quite ok though my comment is that a very few time was allotted for the Asikasa visit. Also, the tour guide does not explain to everyone his topic. He usually engages in conversations to some group inside our group of seat in couch. I hope the tour guide tom will attend to everyone with full attention to all guests. Thanks and regards Hi Alice, our tour of Mt. Fuji and Hakone today is superb. Also, Yukari, our tour guide is far more better than Miyata (tour guide on apr 1). Yukari is very efficient tour guide - she really attends to all of us 38 guests during the whole day of tour. She is an example of a very good tour guide. Thanks for all the assistance and help. We are so far enjoying our stay here in Japan Thanks very much for all the assistance Alice. I will recommend you to my sister who is visiting Japan (together with my mother and some friends) in May 2015. I enjoyed my vacation in Tokyo. Thanks to you!

Hi Emma, Thanks very much for checking in. I really appreciate the many thoughtful itineraries you put together for us. We had an educational, wonderful and enlightening trip. It was a memorable experience. Our drivers were very experienced and the tour guides were excellent and very accommodating in making us feel comfortable. Particularly, Young was not only a good driver, but a knowledgeable tour guide, who showed us many interesting sites, educated us about Korean culture and was very patient and thoughtful throughout our tour. The only sort of mishap we had was when we first arrived at Incheon and had to transfer to Gimpo, it was a bit stressful as our driver, Ho, didn't speak English well, and didn't know this airport well. He also accidentally dropped us off at the Gimpo International terminal to Jeju. However, he was very nice and I believe he felt very bad about inconveniencing us. He bought us drinks and donuts for our inconvenience. It was a nice gesture. I think the language barrier made it difficult. I would say if there was room for improvement, perhaps, the itinerary could specify which driver or guide was picking us up and which tour guide we would have for the next day or so. All the drivers who picked us did not speak English except for Young when we arrived from Busan. Arriving late, it was hard to be able to maneuver around to look for dinner, etc, but we managed. Unfortunately, I did not get to meet Victor or Jacky Choi whom I thought I was meeting but Rachel Ko and Kim were very nice, warm, and knowledgeable. All in all, I thought it was an excellent trip and thanks so much for helping us arrange this trip for us. I really liked all the tour guides and greatly appreciated their help. Please send our special thanks to Young as we felt that he was like family and my daughter even cried on the way to the airport, saying she had missed him. I am planning a few more trips in the future and will definitely consider Novaland for our planning needs. Thanks, Nathalie

Hi Cindy, Overall we had a good trip, except for Guiyang : 1. The driver did not turn up, Nicholas the tour guide came some half hour later & he had to bring us out of the station to take 2 taxis to our hotel. The taxis do not have air-con 2. The next morning, the driver again turned up more than an hour late to fetch us to Anshun. So I guess we skipped some sites there, like the waterfall at the Seven Star Bridge 3. The last day, luckily, the driver was on time, but he dropped us some 150 meters from the station. Nicholas the tour guide helped us with our luggage to the station. Nicholas did try his very best, but with no support from the driver, I guess it was really tough on him. Suggest that Novaland do not use this driver again. Sorry that we have to say that. Regards Margaret

Thank you very much for the great service accorded to our family. The tour was great except that for children, going to the jewellry factory and the Ginseng Tea Shop are not of much interest to them. We will surely recommend your tour in the near future. MRS CARMELA GO

Hi Joanna, We just want to give our overall feedback on our Japan tour experience and the tourist guide. Though Lily, our tourist guide seems to be a nice person, she doesn't seem to be fit for an English-speaking group. I'm not sure if she doesn't understand English well or she is not really familiar with Japan. Or maybe she just doesn't care. After all, she is not Japanese. She can't answer basic questions such as where will we see Cherry Blossoms and when did it start to bloom. I asked her if it is colder in Mt. Fuji than in Tokyo and she can't even answer. She can't even recommend where best to eat. She's also not familiar with the places and asks around the mall. She doesn't really talk to us and we didn't learn anything from her about the country, like a local person can do. Worst, she talks to the driver the entire time of the tour in Chinese dialect. We of course expect her to show us around even while in the car. She seems to be very conscious of the time and we feel that the tour must really end on her specific time. We are really disappointed especially comparing it to our experience with Mr. Young of Korea. He is a local, speaks English well, he knows a lot, very friendly, passionate with his work and treats us like his friend. I think the key here is aside from being good in English, it is best to get a local tour guide who loves his or her country and is passionate to promote it. Thank you, Aiem

Dear Lillian Thank you for all the arrangements and we had a wonderful trip covering Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Hakone, Kyoto, Kanazawa, Katayama and Shirakawa-go. Everything worked out well and everyone in our group enjoyed the trip. I will write to you separately soon. Regards Kum Dear Lillian Thank you for all your arrangements. Sorry about the last day confusion at Shiba Park Hotel. I hope the hotel canceled one of the extra booking and did not charge you for it. I fould Shiba Park Hotel making many mistakes. They forgot to give us our train tickets and they also did not understand the duplicate booking. The computer is there to remind when passengers arrive. Shiba Park Hotel has to get this fixed. I spoke to my friends and here is what they recommended: 1. It will be beneficial if Novaland Tours gave the local (Japanese) contact agent's name and telephone number. We did not know who to contact except your international telephone number. 2. Shiba Park Hotel MUST have a message on arrival that there is a package (say train tickets or name of contact etc) for all arriving passengers. Since everything is computerized it should be in the computer against the group name. 3. Tour guide should be knowledgeable of local history. The guide we had (who was a student) was only good as a translator. 4. All the hotels had the wrong name as when I gave my name they could not find it. Then we saw all bookings were under the name Kevin Chan. It will be easy if a group name is made and all bookings are under that group name. The driver was a very good driver and we had a nice van to take us from Kyoto to Kanazawa, Takayama and Shirakawa-go. Hope my comments helps you. Question for you: Do you have contacts in Myanmar (Burma) I am interested in going on a 4 day Irrawaddy River Cruise (November 24, 25, 26 and 27) I ONLY want the river cruise and no sightseeing tours as I am planning a stopover when I go to my home country of Sri Lanka. (party of two) Regards Thanks Kum

Dear Cindy, Thank you for your email. First of all, we are really satisfied with the overall service we received. Travel consultant is great, tour guide and driver is also helpful although English are limited that creates certain difficulties for us The scenic spot is fabulous, we really enjoy taking photos of “sakura”. The fact that within the tour, we still have private time to travel within the city by ourselves is a plus, we have time to explore the city, get to know the local people and their living style more. This is a plus. On our last day, we are able to find our driver is fantastic service provided by you. I would like to see more dynamic tour arrangement in our itinerary, such as on the day of kyoto and tokyo, for each city, all we do in one day was cherry blossoms and pagodas, we would like you include more activities that we should see. Although, we want to see cherry blossoms and wish to travel there, we are tourist and still need more advice from you. We love the hotel, food that you arrange for us. They were fantastic. Thank you. Kind Regards,
