1/Guides
Both Mr. Toru Kigami and Ms. Yumi Aoyama gave us OUTSTANDING service. They deserve 5 stars (and more).
Mr Toru even pushed the “refinement” to make us some hand-made guides and explanations as shown below:
We had no difficulties communicating with them as their English knowledge is quite good (way better than our Japanese level anyway ).
They provided a lot of explanations, context details and … found very nice authentic restaurants.
2/Activities
I forgot to ask you to request “good weather” when we visited Mt Fuji …
Due to the weather, Mr. Toru Kigami offered us to “switch” activities and took us to the amazing Itchiku Kubota art museum… Wow! You might want to add this to your portfolio.
The Sumo was … very nice and authentic, but with a drawback: the requested silence prevented our guide to provide any explanation… Maybe other Sumo stable are more “flexible” ?
The Tokyo Samurai Ninja Museum was a little bit disappointing … kind of “small and cheap” compared to what whe had seen before.
In Nikko, the places were fully packed (long week-end in Japan), but again our guide Ms. Yumi Aoyama had “hidden resources in her bag” and managed to get us through all the key activities with spare time so we could even visit the Emperor Villa as a bonus.

My wife and I wanted to have a memorable 12-day vacations in Japan, and I expected a fully personalized tour with minimum efforts from our side. I contacted Novaland tours and was assisted by Melody.
She crafted a 5* tour for us, tweaked here and there her proposal based on my feedback.
We had with very nice hotels in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka and all the transfers were perfectly organized: train with reserved seats, minivan with chauffeurs.
Every day we had our private guide taking us to visit famous sites and some hidden gems. The guides were very knowledgeable and flexible and could adapt our day based on the weather or some personal requests. We used a combination of taxi, public transport and a lot of steps.
Each of the person we were to meet always introduced themselves via WhatsApp the day before, and they all had the proper “sign” for easy recognition.
During our tour Melody kept in touch verifying that all was going smoothly.
All in all: perfect job by Melody and Novaland in planning, organizing, selecting guides.
The “memorable vacation” goal was more than exceeded. Based on our experience, I highly recommend Melody and Novaland tours: to quality at a good price.

Yes, my daughter was scared but shes ok with the ropeway, cause I think it’s like a cable car and we wanted to try. Overall, Ms. Yu and Ms. Yumi are awesome and we felt really welcome and they are accommodating and flexible.
