we really liked Hiroshima. Actually, much more than I anticipated. The museum and the story of what happened to people in Hiroshima touched our hearts. Remi was super nice.
We really liked sumo and tea ceremony. Somehow, the Ghibli Museum was quite disappointing.Owl cafe was very cute.
We could easily skip Tokyo tower. Shibuya sky is much more interesting than Tokyo tower.
Teamlab planet was very cool.
one hour in the Ninjas Museum kyoto, which was not enough.

Good morning Melody, today we return home after 2 wonderful weeks of vacation in Japan and South Korea. Our guide in South Korea Jake Kwon , was very knowledgeable and friendly. He went out of his way to accommodate some of our shopping requests and introduced us to good Korean meals. Brian Lee has let me know that he will be taking us to the airport at 2:00 pm. Thank you for all your organization efforts.
We had a wonderful day at Nikko with Yum.

Whitney from the start was AMAZING!!! She was always prompt to answer all my questions and had lots of suggestions. I have organized many trips abroad with companies via email , Novaland is one of the best I have used.
I asked Whitney a lot of questions and she always answered them quickly. We worked on an itinerary for Mt. Fuji/ Hakone, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Hiroshima and Miyajima. There were six different versions as I kept constantly changing my mind on sights or hotels or routing.
I had read lots of good reviews on Novaland Tours so I was confident in proceeding with a company oversees vs using a local tour company in Canada.
I also arranged for pick up through Whitney from Haneda Airport. I thought after a 14 hour flight it would be nice to have someone pick us up and drop us straight to the hotel. The pickup was seamless and the drive was in a nice comfortable airconditioned van.
All the local tour guides that Whitney picked for us were fantastic. They were always prompt and had lots of knowledge to share with us. Each local tour guide would contact me via Whats App the day before. We also made some changes during the trip and during the actual day. All the tour guides were great in accommodating our changes. As Whitney said, the benefit of a private tour is that you can change it on the fly.
We had lots of cultural experiences that included: tea ceremony, Maiko dinner, samurai, Kimono. There are many places you can go and dress up in a Kimono. Whitney organized ours for the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. That was such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it.
We had a mix of private and public transportation. Whitney had all the Shinkansen tickets purchased for us. It was sent to us and I printed off the QR codes and then just scanned them at the JR stations. It was seamless. Everything was well outlined to us in the final package.
Whitney would also check in with us during the tour to make sure everything was going well. She was only a Whats App message away. I just wished we could have met her in person to convey our thanks.
Without question, I would highly recommend that you use Novaland Tours if you plan to visit Japan. Novaland really is a tailor made tour specialist . I also highly recommend that you request Whitney. She was absolutely wonderful.
