This is just a short note to thank you (especially) and Novaland for arranging a very nice tour of Japan for us. All the arrangements you made for us worked out perfectly, from the size of the mini-bus/van that you arranged at all our destinations with very courteous and helpful drivers, to the very knowledgeable tour guides throughout the tour. The hotels that you picked for us were all first rate - clean, well run and very accommodating. All the furnished breakfast buffets were excellent as well as the included kaiseki dinner at Kajikaso Ryokan in Hakone. Everything was memorable and the tour guides were very helpful about taking pictures of the whole group so that no one would be left out of any of the pictures they took for us. At times, we had to make minor changes to our itinerary (such as the first day when we took longer than I had anticipated getting out of the airport and had to reschedule our tour of the Osaka Castle until the next day on our way to Nara). Both tour guides did an excellent job of meeting our active schedule and I can't think of anything on the itinerary that we did not see or do. I think one of the highlights for me was the two nights at Kajikaso in Hakone, where we enjoyed the luxury and comfort of the private onsen both days and to relax in our yukata while sleeping and eating during our stay at the ryokan. I'm sure there are a lot of other highlights, such as the ladies in our group enjoying all the shopping they could fit in on the time allotted and the magnificent close-up of Mt. Fuji on a blessedly clear day, all the magnificent temples, castles and shrines that I hope my children and grandchildren will remember for the rest of their lives. We took several pictures with the Novaland pennant in them. If any of these pictures should appear in future Novaland magazine or advertisement, we would appreciate it if you can send us a copy or two. It will help us reminisce about the good time we had in Japan. Thank you for everything.

Hi Emma, the private tour was good. Especially the punctuality and pick up from hotel to destination and back. Although a little bit expensive.

Here is some feedback as promised: ******************************************************************************************************************************* Pretour booking arrangements with Novaland were very efficient and professional. Email communications were answered quickly and clearly. Payment details were straightforward and precise. The pricing was fair, with choice of private or group tour. Melody Fan was the travel consultant and I quickly developed a good rapport with her which is good because I can be diificult and demanding ! The tour was in multiple parts because we were doing some independent travel as well but it all worked seamlessly. Drivers and guides were always on time, the vehicles used were good, and the guides very professional, personable and knowledgeable with good English skills. The drivers were good although one did drive faster than we like, perhaps because the distances were far but he was competent and we did not feel unsafe. The tour in Jeju was with a group on a coach and we had a pickup with a van in the morning. At the tour end we were given bus tickets and dropped at the airport to catch the next bus. This was not very good because it took 1.5 hours to return to our hotel late at 18:45. It would be better to have a return transfer. The pace of each day tour was good, the selection of sites to visit was very good but we did wait until late to stop for lunch on 2 days. This was on the 2 day part out of Busan. It would be better if the driver & guide gave us some detail of the days itinerary first, this is what the Seoul and Jeju guides did. There was some confusion about our last dinner being included but we sorted this out with the driver and guide. The hotel in Busan was fine with a nice breakfast, in Andong the hotel did not have any non smoking rooms or a breakfast area so we stopped at a highway restaurant. Fortunately there was no smoke in the hotel ! We were very impressed with the beauty of Jeju and the tour brought us to some very scenic places. The fist stop the Trick Art museum was fun but we would prefer something more scenic or cultural. The guides really helped us to understand Korea, to appreciate the ancient temples, palaces, villages etc. so we want to return but later in Spring so that the blossoms are out and all is green and even more beautiful. We found we could travel independently because people are very helpful but also are very happy we did some portion with Novaland Tours because of the extra insight we got. Melody Fan and Ms. Amor Huang of Novaland are a class act who treated us with tremendous concern and caring whenever there was even a slight problem. *********************************************************************************************************************************

Dear Tina, Thank you for following up with my request for Mrs. Freedman. I think there is little doubt that we all enjoyed the trip to the DMZ and learned a great deal of new information. We all appreciated the services provided and the guides attempt to make us comfortable as well as to make up for not having enough time for a meal by buying us a Korean treat to snack on. If I had one suggestion for him it would be to be a bit more assertive in offering information to the tour groups he guides. He certainly seemed knowledgeable and when asked was quick to provide the information requested. He also accommodated our desires to stop to shop etc. shmiller

Hi Lynee, Me and my family had a great vacation in Japan. The tour arrangement was good. Choice of locations and hotel was also Excellent. The buses were very clean and comfortable. Bus drivers have Excellent skill to make the entire journey smooth and enjoyable. Tour guides able to Speak in understandable English language. Also they Have a lot of information to share. No issues with food since we enjoyed All Japanese food provided during the tour. However we just wish that there will be drop off and pick up service from the hotel where We Stay. We suffered some difficulties to walk back to our hotel after each tour because the Weather was cold and we often miss the way. The time allowed for souvenir shopping at each location was too short. Probably Can consider to have 30 minutes shopping time at each sport. Thanks for such a good arrangement to make our Japan tour a memorable one. Best regards. Subra

We really had a great, fantastic, amazing 4-day vacation in Seoul Korea (February 12-15, 2015). We feel blessed to have Novaland Tours arranged everything for us. From the moment I did inquiry, Ms. Melody, the travel consultant, never failed to immediately reply to each questions/email I raised. The proposal of our itinerary has been great and she even included some places we have suggested. The Korea guide ebook she provided has been very helpful for our preparations. The cost of the tour was really worth it. Upon arrival in Incheon Intl Airport, we were warmly welcomed by our good-looking English speaking tour guide, Mr. Yon Young. He has been extra nice, private tour guide/driver cum photographer, cum lecturer, cum historian. We did enjoy Korean food with the help of Young (we’re close hehehe). Actually we all gained weight as he always supplied us Korean food in the service vehicle aside from the lunch and dinner we have explored. His service overall has been superb! We were all dependent on him through out the 4-day tour. He even assisted us in the airport on our last day. He has queued for us to have our receipts validated for possible tax refund. We were more than satisfied with how Novaland Tours took care of us. I have attached here our picture (I'm the 2nd from left, sitting) to show how grateful we are to Novaland Tours. We will definitely recommend Novaland Tours to our friends to experience a memorable and satisfying vacation. GOD Bless Novaland Tours! thanks so much. rona

Hi Cindy, Just to tell you that everything was perfect! About the Tokyo city tour : Our guide was a very nice person and teached us a lot about Tokyo. We like her a lot. Keio Plaza: Excellent hotel and near of the electronics stores. we went there by foot during our free time. Shinkansen Tokyo/ Kyoto/Tokyo - Perfect! The taxi left us very near to the right place. Just to be sure I showed the paper that Mrs. Suzuki wrote for us (tks about it!) and was easy to be sure we were in the right platform. Comfortable seats in the forward direction and we saw Mt Fuji on the right side. New Miyako Hotel - Very good. Comfortable, many options to eat nearby and the pick up to the tour on the same place is very convenient. Nara Afternoon Tour - Enough time to the attractions, guide with very good english pronounce. Kyoto Day Tour Very nice tour. Guide with very good accent. Very nice Japanese restaurant as well. However in my opinion the time spent in the Gold pavillion was not enough, about 15 minutes. On the other hand too much time indoors for the other attractions visited. We really enjoyed the support given to us by Tours Novaland . Soon I will leave my comments on Trip Advisor. Thank you for your patience and all attention given. Regards,

Dear Ms. Tina, We just got back here in the Philippines last Friday, January 23,2015. About the tour package, we have no problems with that, its GREAT! We got to see what we're expecting! And I just want to thank you for your very good service, very good tour package, the tour guides are very courteous and hospitable and very knowledgeable about the historical places which gave us a better understanding about Japanese culture. We also tried their Japanese cuisine , wishing on their temples, great shops! the only problem we encountered was when we left by the bus on the 1st day of our tour, But we made it ! Fortunately, they contacted us, and waited for us in a bus terminal! Maybe my suggestion is, the tour guide must hold a banner with which includes the name of the pax on it, because the only banner that they're holding is the name of the agency, SUNRISE travel and tours, which we got confused because we're looking for NOVALAND travel and tours. That's all! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I just want also to share some of our pictures during the tour ! Sincerely yours, Alvin Ocampo Sent from my iPad

Lillian, I apologize for not doing this sooner but life has been hectic, I actually ended up returning to Shanghai 10 days after getting home. Things are settling down and I really do want to give you feedback. 1. You were wonderful in getting information to us and answering questions, I really appreciate that. It’s always good to know there is a person behind the company that you can have one on one correspondence with. 2. Our trip went off like clockwork – always an additional plus when you just don’t have that much time in an area. Our tour guide was always prompt in meeting us and we enjoyed the time we had together. 3. If we find ourselves looking for another tour in Asia I will definitely check in with you. Thanks again and keep up the great work. Belle

Dear Tina, I did fill out the 3 surveys we got from the guides during the tour, so I hope you will receive those. We had a great tour and we really liked it and would recommend it to other people if they would ask us. From an organization point of view everything went smooth. The guides and drivers were very courteous and accommodating. They were always on time and knowledgeable especially Mr Vongahit and Phoukhien we liked. The accommodations were as described and we especially liked the first one in Luang Prabang (Maison Dalabua), Vientiana (Ansara Hotel), the last one in Pakse (Champasak Grand we got a suite) and the eco lodges where we stayed. The other hotels were fine as well but just wanted to mention the other ones as special. From an itinerary perspective things were good as well. We had a couple of long driving days because of the bad roads especially in the north going to the plain of jars. In the south the roads are much better which was a surprise to us. But we had as well some shorter days of sightseeing so we could relax, so overall a good mix and not to stressful. I made 2 comments in the surveys: · To Done Khone Island, with the long boat, they told us that we were supposed only to take a small suitcase with supplies for 2 days. We did not know so we did not have a small suitcase and had not packed accordingly. In the end no problem as they took all our stuff along but I think you should mention it to other people going there. · On the plateau of Boloven, just before we visited the tea plantation, our guide Mr. Phoukhien took us to another waterfall just something like 10 minutes before the tea plantation and on the same way. The whole excursion might have taken 15 to 30 minutes and the fee was only 5,000 kip (so less than a dollar) but it was worthwhile. He knew about it as he did a lot of trekking in that forest and we would recommend that adding as an option. You can get the details from Mr. Phoukhien. So overall we are very happy and are planning to travel again with Novaland tours. We have done already lots of travel in Asia but we have still on our list: Indonesia, South Korea, West China with Tibet (have seen the normal tourist attractions), North of Japan (similar to China have seen the normal), go back to Nepal and then a couple of countries which I think Novaland does not do Philippines and Mongolia. I will write to you in the next couple of days on our first interest and that is Indonesia and would like to get an idea on what the price would be on the trip I am thinking of. Best regards and thanks for all your help. Jean Marie and Adi.
