Hi LillianrnYes I got the full refund.Thank you for providing excellent guides for our tours.Today we were fortunate enough to get some dramatic views of Mt.Fuji.The sun cooperated and both driver and guide did everything to make our day very enjoyable.rnCheers,rnEdrnrnHi LillianrnI just paid for the tour for 4 people in Aomori. The other person is Judith Larson.I assume we will have a van with a driver and a separate guide. The tour today in Fukuoka today was amazing. We did not go to cat island because we were delayed getting off the ship. Our guide Mariko and Hiroshi San our driver made the day just perfect.rnCheers,rnEdrnrnHi LillianrnWe had an excellent transfer to Tianjin Cruse Terminal yesterday.Mr Li was very polite and the trip only took 2 hours from Beijing.Tomorrow we have a face to face immigration in Inchon and will be out as quickly as possible.Hopefully we will have enough time to do everything and be able to be back on the ship no later 5:00-5:20.rnCheers,rnEdrnrnHi LillianrnWith both tours we had excellent guides.I did not realize at the DMZ we had to join a larger group to tour the facility because of the strict security. This was disappointing, but Paul our guide was with us the whole tour and provided us with commentary along the way.The tour in Fukouka is fine.rnCheers,rnEd

Our guide picked us up at the cruise terminal and we started our Korean adventure. We visited the beautiful Haedong Yonggungsa Temple along the sea side then went to the UN Cemetery. the cemetery is a must to see. Beautiful grounds, peaceful sights and a tribute to all the soldiers lost during the Korean War. On to the fish market - we never saw so many different sea "creatures" as we did at this market. It was fun to walk around and take in the sights. Our final stop was at the Busan Tower which was a great way to see the city. Our guide was wonderful and showed us her city. thank you Novaland Tours.

Dear Bruce, rnrnWe just arrived home at 12pm today. Yes, we enjoyed our tour, the guides were very kind and helpful, though we have some problem getting used to their English. rnrnLike I mentioned in my last email, Ever Hotel were fantastic but I think your Management should look into Lamer Hotel.rn1. Hotel quite old n the corridor are dark. Maybe bcos they painted the place black.rn2. Rooms very small, lights very dim and we have problem reading booksrn3. Toilet were not clean properly. Flooded each time during our showers. And I have to open the drainage and clear hairs from there.rnOther than that, the staffs are all very friendly and location very convenient for us.rnrnWe love Korea and will go back again one Autumn soon.rnThanks for making our stay sornRelaxing and enjoyable.

Hello,

Yes the tour was great and the guide fun and informative.  I would definitely use your services again next time I visit Korea.  I don’t mind this one picture being used but would like to limit it to just the one if that is ok.

Regards

Paula

Emma was an excellent consultant: knowledgeable, accommodating, and pleasant to work with. We enjoyed all the places we were taken to.

Dear JoannarnrnI just wanted to thank you for the great effort and the very efficient planning for our trip to Japan and South Korea.rnWe all returned back to Canada safely and we enjoyed the trip tremendously. It was a wonderful experience.rnrnIn Korea:rn---------rnWe liked our tour guide Julie. She was knowledgeable, she had leadership and she was always ready to answer our questions. She also had a good command of the English language which really helped us understand the country and its culture and civilization. She also did her best to accommodate our requests.rnThanks again for offering us the chance to go to a well known show. It was wonderful and we really appreciated this kindness.rnrnIn Japan:rn----------rnWe had 4 different tour guides:rn1) Mizuma : met us at the airport and spent Day 3 with us. We enjoyed the activities of that day and we were very able to communicate with him.rnrn2) Takahashi: spent Day 4 and Day 5 with us. Good English language and tried to accommodate us, however on day 4 we missed 2 activities because to my understanding it was Sunday. But Saitou made it up for us and we appreciated her efforts.rnrn3) Saitou: spent from Day 6 to Day 13 with us. She was the most kind, the most accommodating person, the extremely polite and considerate lady, the most HONEST guide and she answered our questions the following day, because she will spend her evening researching for answers.rnI believe that all reviews about her were positives because she deserves it. But it was very hard to really understand her English Language communicating skills. She must be very good in communicating with people whose first language is not English. But definitely not with travelers who are fluent in English.rnI did my best to calm our group, regarding the Language but on Day 13 when we realized that the visit to Kyoto Imperial Palace was at 11:00 am and that the tour was in Japanese Language, I could no longer justify this action to our group. We found it strange that we were not booked for the English tour that started at 10:00 am !!!rnrnAND AGAIN WE LIKED HER A LOT BUT I WANTED TO OFFER THE GROUP A CHANCE TO ENJOY THE LAST 3 DAYS IN OSAKA WITH Someone WHO COULD COMMUNICATE WELL IN ENGLISH.rnrn4) Jafura: joined us from Day 14 to Day 16. His command of both languages English and French is excellent. And he did his best to accommodate us.rnrn5) The guide who picked us from the hotel in Osaka to transfer us to the airport was excellent.rnrnSo again on behalf of myself and our group, I want to thank you for your hard work and very cooperative way in planning our trip with Sonya and in solving the problems we encountered.rnrnMy best regards, rnrnHéla K. Hi Dorisrn rnsorry to take so long to get to this – back home again and back at work.rn rnIn terms of feedback on the trip -rn rnEverything worked fine and the bookings were all good.rnIn Tokyo the hotel was very good – location and comfort were up to our standard.rn rnthe Hakone Hotel as excellent – probably the best quality of the 3rnThe Kanazawa hotel was disappointing – the rooms smelt of smoke and were not as comfortable – we probably would have paid more for a better standard of hotel – the location was fine.rn rnThe Japan Rail pass worked well and the cherry blossoms were in bloom !rn rnmany thanksrn rnJ

Knowledge of Subjects

 4

 Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto/Nara = 5; Osaka = 3, Mt.Fuji=2

Ability of Explain

 3

Tokyo guide very good and sharing lots of information. Osaka guide poor explanations, acting as a teacher with kids and commanding us around, also strange attitude towards some people in her group. Kyoto/Nara and Hiroshima very good guides, with explanations and good attitudes. Mt.Fuji/Hakone very nice and happy guide but all she talked about was just the lunch (many times repeating).

Attitude

 4

Everyone had a good attitude except of the unpleasant guide in Osaka (teacher style and treating us like kids)

Flexibility

 2

I give it a 2 because many times there was no time to look around properly in the sites, too short time was given to us, no time to go to the toilette and in Hiroshima we’ve dropped and lost something on one side of the big memorial park, asked the bus to just go around to pick it up, but the guide refused. It would have just costed another 5 minutes for the bus.

On the other hand we always had to wait in the morning for the tour to start, even though we were asked to be at the meeting point 10 min. earlier, the tour would start 5-10 min. later, therefore we were the ones waiting 15-20 min. So we don’t think Japanese are so punctual as it was told us.

Drivers and Cars

 5

 No issues.

Hotels

Location

 5

Excellent location for most of the hotels just being outside of the shin train station. Especially useful in terms of late arrival, getting to the subway and buying food. Can recommend this for a busy trip, saved us a lot of time.

Comfort

 4

2x we received smoking room, once in Kyoto and once in Himeji. Were told by staff there is nothing available. This should not happen if customer books non-smoking room. No one likes to sleep in smelly rooms.

Hotel in Himeji is very overrated, looks old and run down, should not be qualified as 4 star in comparison to other hotels.

Park Royal and Sheraton in Tokyo were the best hotel rooms (size, amenities, bathroom, coffee machine), Granvia Hiroshima was next in line, followed by Granvia Osaka (although breakfast finishes too early at 9 am) and Kintetsu Kyoto. The Ryokan in Hakone was nice as well, although hard to compare as we’ve never stayed in a similar one.

Too Tight of Too Loose?

 3

Was too tight, especially in Kyoto. In Hiroshima no proper time in the museum. Tokyo was the best in terms of enough time to walk and look around. Osaka tour was poor, concentrated on business centre and castle only. Boat tour had no clear explanation in English as the loud speaker in the boot was too silent.

Meals

 3

Japanese food in Fuji was cold on the table, even the fried food, Kyoto was a school canteen type with a long line of tourists and no table to sit down. Very nice food in Osaka but lunch at 11.30 is way too early! Best food was in Tokyo in terms of service, quality and location.

Hi EmmarnrnWe are now back home after our trip to Nagoya.rnrnMs Kazuko, Ms Hashimoto and Suzuki were understanding and helpful in handling our requirements. We all enjoyed the trip even though it was short. Ms Kazuko was good in her presentation, gave us some history lessons in understanding each place and sight.rnThe itinerary, (Takayama/Shirakawago route, in Kyoto),was changed according to the local conditions and it was good advice from all 3 of them.rnrnThe transport arrangements were well organised and my brother in law was happy with the bus. It made it easy for him, asrnHashimoto and Suzuki took care of him, boarding and getting off the bus.rnrnAfter the initial hiccup, everything went smoothly for the rest of the trip.rnrnThank you for arranging the itinerary and for being patient with us with regards to our requirements.rnrnrnWith Warmest RegardsrnSue Lye

Hi Doris, rnrnWe are now in the Phils. Thank you for arranging our itineray well. We enjoy our trip and I try the onsen hehehe at first I was hesitant, but my husband keep insisting me to try so I have no choice, so I did. During our Mt. Fuji tour the mountain is hiding with the clouds, but still the kids are enjoying the trip coz' there's a snow, they enjoyed playing with it, even for a short time only.rnrnBy the way, If ever we planning to have another trip can I email you directly?rnrnOnce again thank you very much!

Emma,rn rnI wanted to thank you for excellent services provided by Novaland for our trip to Korea. With this being our first time to Asia, we were concerned about being able to see all of the things we wanted to see and do all of the things we wanted to do.rn rnYour responsiveness and flexibility in arranging the trip made Novaland stand out from its competitors. I really appreciate your patience and guidance and responsiveness as we formed the trip.rn rnYoung was an amazing guide. Not only did we see the sites of Korea, we learned a lot about Korea’s history. Young made sure that those in our group who had difficulty walking were taken care of by making sure we were dropped off at places that minimized walking. On the rainy days, he altered the schedule to accommodate the weather. He also included a visit to the cherry blossom festival which was one of our highlights on the trip. Young expressed a genuine concern and care for each of those in our group. We now count him as a member of our family!rn rnThank you again for such a great experience. We loved our visit to Korea and our time with Novaland!rn rnThom
