The Novaland part of our trip went very well in most all aspects. The main area for improvement would have been our Taipei guide in Taiwanwho went by the name of “Elvis” [ ?].

His knowledge of English may have been adequate but it was very hard tounderstand him because he spoke too quickly, did not form his words well,mumbled, and was often confused- saying one thing and then contradictinghimself with his next statement. 

He also did not think things through - the key problem here was that oftenat one place or another the van would park relatively far from what we weredoing due to local restrictions. He would make us walk quite a long way to thevan’s location; when we then boarded the van it turns out that the route to thenext place went right by the place we had been - the guide should have askedthe driver [ who was excellent, by the way ] to simply drive the vehicle towhere we were so we could hop right in quickly and he could then drive to thenext spot. That seems so basic and logical but the guide just didn’t “get it”and repeated the mistake a number of times despite my requesting again aftereach time he did it. Not a terrible thing but it just showed he was notthinking clearly.

The length of activities each day was good as was the degree of‘fullness’. Not too many things, not too few - just enough.

All the lodgings were wonderful. The things we saw were amazing. Japan wasespecially fun for us. The driver and experience in Osaka/Kobe was also verygood. All the vehicles we were given were very clean and comfortable,especially the air-conditioning since it was quite hot on Taiwan.

I just wanted to get back to you regarding our impressions and experiences during our visit to your country.

Itinerary – Excellent

Accommodations – Excellent

Transportation, Bus, Local Trains and Bullet Train – marvelous

Friendliness of the people – very friendly and helpful

Tour Guides – Very knowledgeable and friendly

All the people were very helpful and patient with us when we showed some concern or when we needed further clarification.

And finally LILY – You were so very helpful in helping us plan our trip. Doing this totally on our own would have taken us a great deal of effort.

All of the trip flowed seamlessly from point to point and culminated in Osaka where we paid tribute to my mother by visiting the National Museum and viewing the documentary about my Mother

‘FLORA’. The curators of the museum were very gracious and even treated us to dinner.

First, I had a great time on my trip,and I want to go back.
