Hi Tina, We had a fun filled trip to Seoul Korea. Thank you for your help and assistance. Our tour guide, Elvis, is very friendly, accommodating and very helpful to us all. Thank you for assigning him to our group. We really appreciate him for his wide knowledge about the history and culture of Korea. Apart from that, he is also a funny person and sings very well too. In fact, he sung to us different versions of Arirang! All in all, we had a nice and memorable trip to South Korea! We will surely recommend Novaland tours to our friends and will highly recommend Elvis to be their tour guide. Regards, Allen Uy

Hi Tina, We are finally back !! It's good to travel but it's also good to be home after such a long trip. Overall we were very pleased with how our tour went. We did not have any problems with being picked up or transportation. Everyone was their to greet us and take us to the next destination. Our tour guide in Seoul was Chue (maybe not spelled correctly), he was exceptional, we all loved his positive attitude. We still takes about how great he was. He took a special liking to her. He is a very humble man and I can't say enough good things about him. Our tour guide in Busan was Joy. She was also very good but the bar was set so high by Chue. It was nice that she had her own driver, that allowed her to focus on pointing things out while he was driving. She had a true passion for Korean and the city of Busan. Some of the highlights were the Seoul Tower, DMZ tour, and the Korean Folk Village. While at the DMZ tour we were interviewed for a TV program called 'Ariang Today'. The interview was on TV about 3 days later and we were able to watch it while in Busan. We are TV stars in Korea !!!!. In Busan the highlights were the Geyongju City and Yonggusan Temple. Busan is such a beautiful city. Joy recommended we take a night time cruise in the harbor and that was such a wonderful idea, we did it that night and got some wonderful pictures. I like how flexible things were, one day Taylor (my daughters friend) did not feel good so Joy adjusted the schedule to meet our needs. The food was a bit of a challenge but that's because the American diet is so different from Korean diet. I think both our guides knew we struggled with the local cuisine and helped us make adjustments each day. The only thing I would change is that we did see a lot of temples (I think at least six). We were 'Templed' out by the end of the trip. You and your team did a fantastic job with all aspects. The communication prior to the trip and all the accomodations during the trip were exactly as I had hoped for. Thank you for helping make this a truly wonderful experience for my family.

Hi Lillian, • We have just returned to Singapore this morning 5 plus after a memorable trip to Korea. • Thank you for your patience and attention to details throughout the process. I realize we have corresponded more than 60 emails between us due to my many requests! Yet you took the trouble to answer everyone of them and make sure most of my requests were acceded. Not to mention how you helped with the last minute cancellation of my husband participation in the tour. My sincere thanks to you. • • We also would like to extend our appreciation for the excellent service provided by Mr. Young throughout the trip. • He was very knowledgeable about Korea, educating us in many aspects of the country. We learnt a lot from him. • We had many difficult requests especially in our meal requirements, but he also took trouble to ensure we always had what we wanted and at the same time tried all the various Korean delicacies. • He was very flexible with the tour timing even accommodating our request to late night shopping. • Mr Young always ensured that my parents and daughters are well taken care of throughout the journey. At the end of the trip, all of us were like friends! • I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wishes to tour Korea in free and easy way. • If there is any blemish for the trip is that I would not recommend Pacific Hotel. The location is quite good however, the room is too old and small. The service at front desk is also not that fantastic. Anyway that is not a big deal. I would just like to say a big thank you to all at Novaland and I would definitely use Novaland again for my future tours. Thank you! I would reply you on the refund issue in a separate email. Thank you for your best effort on the refund. Rgds/ Po Lin

Dear Tina, I just wanted to take a few minutes and tell you how much we enjoyed our trip to Korea. Everything was wonderful and we had a great time! The tour guides in Seoul (Charley and Chul Lee) and Busan (Kim) were fantastic and very knowledgeable. The hotels were perfect and everything worked as planned on the itinerary. Thanks again for setting up a wonderful vacation we will remember forever! If you need more details, i am happy to write more about our experience. Best, Michael Meier

Hi Emma, We r on the way to HK now. We say good bye to u and Korea and thanks for everything that u gave done for us . Everything was great except hotel in Seoul . The hotel room is dirty, smelly, air condition doesn't work properly and my daughter had mosquito bite in her room. I would not recommend for hotel Rex for your customers. Any way this is my feed back . I have confident on you will do everything that possible to satisfy your customers. Once again good bye and my daughter is recovering from her skin allergy. Take care. Hi Peggy, Thank you for arranging the tour despite our miscommunication. We had a good time and was glad we have a private tour which gave us more flexibility. It was unfortunate we hit the long holiday weekend and so spent much time on the road and the tour guides had to go home late. Thank you once again!

Good Morning Lillian – I forgot to mention that almost all of our tours were private so we REALLY got a good deal! Thanks again Sharon The arrangements were the very best. The guides always called the night before and the driver always at the airport or train depot at the correct times. (Our plane was 3 hours late in arriving in Seoul because of a missed connection in Los Angeles which was a fault caused by United). This really gave us trust in Novaland because we came into a country we knew nothing about…….and could have easily felt stranded. The hotels were extra helpful especially Hotel Sunbee. The people all over Korea would help us with directions or answer our questions. My daughter Jill even started reading the Korean Symbols…I was very proud and the guides impressed. The guide in Gwangju and driver went over and above what they needed to do. We went to the Orphanage but it was really another facility where Jill was brought to when she was abandoned in 1969. The reason she was then sent to Seoul was because she could be adopted so this was the procedure then and still exists in Gwangju. We went through that Shelter for children, which has 53 children right now ages 1 day – about age 16. This had never been done before but since Jill and I were there from theUS they were most kind in showing through the facility with the rooms of children and volunteers coming in and caring for them. The guide also gave Jill her email in the event that she can discover more about herself from the files in Seoul. We loved JeJu, it was beautiful and the Coach Tours were perfect. We enjoyed Busan especially seeing theYonggungsa Temple. Our favorite guides were “Yoon” taking us to Mt Seorak, seeing the woman divers and taking us for a delicious lunch with mackerel and “Charlie” going to DMZ. He sang original Korean Folk songs to us + Elvis’s Houndog! If there was a highlight spot it probably was making Kimchi in the private home in Seoul. It was so much fun getting our pictures taken in the Hanbok and making the Kimchi and then having the most delicious lunch. The hostess couldn’t pronounce “Refrigerator” so we had fun teaching her with our 5 fingers for the syllables. (It was a Refrigerator + a freezer but we didn’t want to add to the confusion J) We carried the kimchi to JeJu, Gwangju and back to Seoul because it needed to be refrigerated. My Kimchi made it to Minnesota but Jill’s cracked open a bit and soiled some of her clothes which just added to the adventure along with the cab driver having difficulties finding the correct road and since the guide knew where to go we just walked about 8 blocks! So ends the saga of the kimchi except now I can’t find anyone who wants to eat it with me! We definitely would recommend Novaland Tours to anyone. You do an exceptional job. When we go to VietNam we will contact you. Thank-you for giving us a safe and very happy journey. Sincerely, Sharon Wesbrook

1. How is our service throughout your tour from any aspects you feel? Such as our travel consultant, tour guide?s, drivers or others? attitude; hotels, transportations, scenic spots? arrangement; and any other words you would like to say to me. I have to say you did a good job in the booking of the Korean airlines to fly my family out from Jeju island earlier than our original flight. you also continue to update me the situation that day. Also, Elvis, the driver that picked us up that day...he was kind enough to stop by at the children clinic so my son could get the medical treatment. I never regret to book that day airport pick up, if I go by taxi I will definitely unable to find the children clinic. 2. Where can we improve to be better and stronger? Next time if there is a delay problem from Jeju perhaps you should warn your clients to listen to the airlines manager at the airport. If the managers said no flight that day better they re-booked the next day flight immediately by lining up again and try to get the earlier flight. We waited too long that day hoping to catch the late afternoon flight, the manager already told me that the weather is getting worse and no flight out. By the time we went back to the airlines desk we can only get the late night flight. So do share our experience with your other colleagues and your partners in Seoul. Also, do have doctors or hospital address at hand, especially those near to the clients hotels. 3. Any other valuable comments, travel experience and happy moments you may have. For the Jeju tour, the tour guide should tell us that the temperature in the cave was cold so we could prepare our jacket when we went into the cave. you could put this in your itinerary too. For the Udo island trip, the tour guide -- ms Rachel, she was friendly, informative and love to share the local products for us to try. She even called me the next day, warn me about the weather and also informed us where to find food in the airport. For the Udo trip, you should tell the company to have minimum 3 to 4 hours to tour the island. 2 hours was too short and we could not even have enough time to go to the light house as it was one of the land mark. It was a very rush tour around the island. For the pacific hotel it had excellent location and they gave us connecting room which was really good. Do tell the hotel that the carpet is dirty, so it is about time they should wash the room carpet. Well, this is what I can share with you and overall I do enjoy the tour even though there were hiccups (jeju weather and me n my son were sick) along the way and you did a good job... Best regards Sanwie

Dear Tina: Please, let me first apologize to you. I have had your e-mail for a long time and I had lots of opportunity to answer it but I have been lazy. I am sorry. So, let me answer each of your questions in order: 1. My brother and I love our tour guides in Korea and Beijing. Luwei and Mandy were great and fabulous. They treated us like family so much, we called them “mom and dad.” They were great and bent over backwards to meet what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go while sticking with the schedule. In Korean, Young treated us the same. We again had a great time with him. We went to the baseball game with him and he would take us to great places to eat while letting me explore my past. They were Great! The only two things that were disappointing to me was the tour of the old city in Beijing and see a typical house. In Korea, Young took us out to a place where you could get a spa treatment and buy soaps. They were two things I didn’t like. The rest was beyond our expectations. 2. I explained that in one. Get rid of the spa place in Korea and the typical house in Beijing 3. Luwei and Mandy! We just loved them and hated to leave China. We grew very close to them. They were truly like family to my brother and I by the time we finished. The same can be said for Young. I think in this case he grew close to us and hated to see us leave. We had a good time with him as well. I hop that answers your questions. I apologize for not answering sooner. I may use your service again. I am divorcing and am looking for a new wife. I have been corresponding with some women in China and may visit one in the future. I will definitely keep you in mind. Michael Wood

Yoon, our tour guide/driver was the best! He was always on time, courteous, always very enthusiastic, had good knowledge and information on places we visited, he seemed to know people all over the country. He was an excellent interpreter whom we used to interact with non English speaking Koreans we met. We saw all the places we wanted to see and didn’t feel rushed. Yoon always had a good place for lunch that featured the local areas foods. The Pacific Hotel was at least a 5 star establishment. Great location, extremely courteous staff, wonderful rooms, very good breakfast. The Concorde Gyeongju was a 2 star or lower, although the staff was courteous, the hotel is outdated and extremely run down, no air conditioning, very little maintenance or upkeep apparent. The Daegu Inter-Burgo was probably a 3 star The Haeundae Grand Hotel was probably 4 star, was very nice and in a good location. Very good breakfast meal. We would highly recommend NovaLand Tours to others based on our experience. We appreciate your (Tina’s) arrangements in making this a perfect trip. I feel we definitely got our money’s worth. 2. Where can we improve to be better and stronger? Better hotel selection in Gyeongju.

Dear Joanna. The trip to Busan was excellent. The transport, my tour Guides (Chool Kyun, Kim and Tai hoon Kwon) were efficient and caring. The programmes were very good. I seem to remember mentioning to you that the tours seemed a bit expensive; I had not appreciated that the guides were personal drivers; I had expected to be on some sort of bus but instead, we had a private personal service that explains the cost and it was worthwhile. The Indy Guest House was good and I enjoyed the experience with the young people who were there. The girls at the desk were delightfully friendly and helpful. The experience was much better than what I would have had at a standard American Hilton and really the costs were small. Everything was clean and well organised: I like making my own breakfast! Joanna dear, thanks for organising the trip: it was just what I wanted. I will bear you in mind if I make another Far East adventure. Keep me informed of any particular holidays that Novaland may be offering. Love REG

Dear Joanna, Thank you for your email. We had an amazing trip in Seoul! :) First of all, I would like to thank you for being prompt in replying to my email / questions. You were very accommodating and clear, and I really appreciate that. Secondly, I would like to commend our tour guide, Mr. Young. He is great and we really like him! :) He is very accommodating, nice and friendly. He also speaks English fluently. We can feel his love for his country and we started to appreciate the beauty of Seoul thru him. He also gives very good suggestions like where and what to eat! :) We enjoyed eating in Seoul so much! :) Lastly, kindly note that we availed of an additional 1-day tour from Mr. Young. Kindly check the details from him. Thank you and we look forward to arranging our next trip with you. We actually plan to go to Japan next year! :) Best regards, Aiem
